The invention relates to a device for conveying up a start-up strand in a continuous casting installation with a conveyor device that can move the start-up strand along the upward conveying path of the strand guide frame.
It is known (AT-PS No. 328118) to convey the start-up strand after the start of pulling out the warm strand at the end of the strand guide by means of a device for lifting up, for example by means of a crane hook, to the level of the casting platform and there from the crane hook to hand over a car that conveys the starting strand to the mold. The transfer of the start-up line to the wagon represents a critical moment, since there is a risk that the start-up line can come loose from the crane hook in an uncontrolled manner. The start-up line would fall back onto the run-out roller table.
Furthermore, it is known (AT-PS No. 363212) to convey the starting strand to the car by means of clamping roller pairs. There is a need here to reliably prevent the starting strand from slipping back as a result of the rollers being contaminated.
The invention aims to avoid these disadvantages and difficulties and has as its object to provide a device for lifting the start-up line, with which the start-up line is reliably secured against falling, braking or hydraulic adjustment devices, which are also due to incorrect operation or failure Crash of the start-up line can be avoided.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that at least one pair of securing clamp arms opposite each other symmetrically to the elevated conveyor track are arranged along the elevated conveyor track, each of which is pivotably mounted on the strand guide frame on the one hand and on the other hand with an end reaching the elevated conveyor track of the approach strand with the approach strand on opposite surfaces in each case by means of contact surfaces in Clamping engagement can be brought, the contact points of the contact surfaces lying above the connecting line laid by the pivot axes in the clamping engagement.
The contact surfaces of the securing clamping arms are expediently designed as sliding surfaces that slide against the surfaces of the start-up line to be raised.
In order to disengage the safety clamp arms from the start-up line, the safety clamp arms can advantageously be pivoted by means of a swivel drive.
Support brackets limiting the pivoting movement of the securing clamp arms are provided so that the securing clamp arms only have to perform a slight pivoting movement.
According to a preferred embodiment, the securing clamp arms are connected by means of a linkage in the manner of articulated parallelograms.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, the drawing showing a side view of a device for lifting the starting strand from the run-out roller table to the level of the casting platform.
The device for lifting up has on a vertical support frame-1-arranged, the starting strand --2-- clamping, arranged in pairs --3--, which feed the starting strand under friction. To prevent falling, three pairs of safety clamp arms --5-- opposite each other symmetrically to the axis --4-- of the elevated conveyor track are provided along the elevated conveyor track. Each securing clamp arm --5-- is on the one hand pivotally supported with one end --6-- on the support frame --1-- and on the other hand is provided with a convex sliding surface --8-- on the other end --7. These sliding surfaces --8-- are contact surfaces that come into contact with the start-up strand surfaces --9--.
As can be seen from the drawing, the length 10 of the securing clamp arms --5 - is dimensioned such that when the starting strand --2-- is raised, the securing clamp arms --5-- due to contact with the starting strand surfaces --9-- by one small angle --11-- can be swiveled up from their rest position, which is shown in the drawing with dashed lines --12--.
The safety clamp arms are located after contacting the start-up

for example due to contamination, the start-up line --2-- can no longer convey up, the start-up line --2-- cannot move against the conveying direction --13-- because the

Contact points --14-- of the safety clamp arms lie above the connecting line --15--, which is defined by the swivel axes --6-- of two safety clamp arms --5-- lying opposite each other. There is an automatic clamping.
Just below each safety clamp arm --5-- there is a support bracket --16-- on the scaffolding-l-each, so that the safety clamp arms in the idle state, i.e. H. If no start-up line --2-- is hoisted up, lie in an approximately horizontal position on the support brackets.
If it is operationally necessary to move the start-up line downwards, all securing clamp arms --3-- can be pivoted using a linkage --17-- connecting the securing clamp arms --5-- one above the other on the side in the manner of articulated parallelograms. Hydraulic cylinders, not shown, serve as a pivot drive.
