removed from the mold shortly before use of the plate, which prevents damage to the ornamental edges. After removing the rod elements --2--, the plates present themselves as shown in Fig. 6, i.e. H. the ornament structures --12-- are exposed on the washed surface, as shown in Fig. 6. In order to improve the retention of the rod elements, in particular during the washing process, the rod elements --2-- can be provided with anchoring pins, as can be seen in detail in FIGS. 7 and 2.

The rod elements --2-- preferably have predetermined breaking points --6--, at which the rod elements - 2-are separated, with the anchoring pins --3-- remaining in the molded body. However, it will be possible to dispense with the use of anchoring pins --3-- if the ornamental recesses are relatively wide or coarser structures are produced, in which case there is a risk that the rod elements --2-- will be washed out during washing. is low.

The rod elements --2-- can be made of cheap material, e.g. B. plastic are generated. They are thrown away after one use. The rod elements --2-- must not adhere to the hardening material --7--.

The design options of the ornamental structures, as they are in plates, bowls and. The like. Can be produced are extremely varied.

Panels produced according to the method according to the invention can be used for the artistic design of exterior surfaces of buildings, as is shown by way of example in FIG. 11.

However, fencing can also be designed using panels produced according to the invention (FIG. 12). Furthermore, the surfaces of the conventional formwork blocks can also be provided with an ornament structure by the method according to the invention, as is illustrated, for example, by FIG. 13.

Letters or numerals can also be used as an ornament, as shown in FIGS. 14 to 16.

Using the method according to the invention, plates, formwork blocks, prefabricated parts, flower bowls, stair plates can be provided with various structures, including letters and numerals. As explained above, buildings, garden walls, squares (areas), paths can be designed.

Plates designed according to the invention can also be combined into large samples. The method according to the invention, which uses rod elements, can also be carried out on already existing machines. When using the method according to the invention, washed concrete products with a wide variety of ornaments can be produced with very little additional effort.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for producing an ornamental structure on the surface of plates, shells or the like. Made of hardening material, in particular concrete, using a mold into which the hardening material is introduced, with corresponding rod elements being provided on the mold base, onto which the hardening material is poured on, characterized in that the rod elements are detachable, e.g.

   B. by gluing, applied to a retardation paper, that this retardation paper is inserted into the mold, that afterwards the curing material is introduced, that after the material has partially hardened, the molded article is removed from the mold, that the retardation paper is removed, but the rod-like strips , which are in particular provided with anchoring pins, remain in the plate, that the surface is washed, and that after final hardening, shortly before use of the plate, the rod-shaped elements are removed from the molded body.
