<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
lasche --6-- stets gleich bleibt.

The invention relates to a weighing device for metallurgical vessels, in particular in a continuous casting plant, with a load-bearing device, such as the ladle support arm of a rotating tower, with at least two levers on the load-bearing device, each of which is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis and on which the metallurgical vessel is supported, and with one Pressure measuring device between the load suspension device and the levers carrying the metallurgical vessel.
In metallurgical plants there is a need to always know and monitor the amount of metallurgical vessels exactly. In order to maintain the continuity of the casting, it is particularly advantageous to continuously weigh the ladle and the distribution vessel (intermediate vessel) so that you always know the amount of content in these metallurgical vessels and can change the ladle in good time.
For this purpose, it is known from AT-PS No. 357285 to form the support arm in a divided manner and to articulate a support arm part carrying a load bearing surface for supporting the metallurgical vessel on the second support arm part. The first bracket part is designed as an angle lever; its lever part projecting vertically downwards is supported horizontally on a pressure measuring device.
In this known support tower, the frictional forces acting on the axis that connects the two support arm parts falsify the measurement result. Another disadvantage is the fact that the measurement result depends on the position of the pan on the load suspension device. Slight displacements of the pan result in different weight values.
The invention aims to avoid these disadvantages and difficulties and has as its object to design a device of the type described in the introduction in such a way that frictional forces on the pivot axis of the lever do not falsify the measured values and that furthermore the measurement result is not precisely centered on the metallurgical vessel on the load bearing device unaffected.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that a cambered load bearing surface is provided on the upper end of each single-armed lever, that the pressure measuring device is arranged in a manner known per se in the vertical direction of force flow and is supported vertically with respect to the load receiving device, and that the ratio of the horizontal distance between the pivot axis of the lever and the pressure measuring device relative to the horizontal distance between the pivot axis of the lever and the load bearing surface is 0.75 to 1.30, preferably 1.0.
From DE-OS 2636658 and 2247184 it is known per se to arrange the pressure measuring device in the vertical direction of force flow and to support it vertically, however, these references do not show levers pivotally mounted on the load suspension device on which the metallurgical vessel is supported, but according to DE-OS No. 2636658 a load suspension which is complicatedly guided by means of a large number of links, in which the frictional forces occurring on the links cause falsifications of the measured values, whereas according to DE-OS 2247184 no guidance of the load suspension can be found at all, so that horizontal forces falsify the measurement result.
According to a preferred embodiment with a pan support arm of a rotating tower, the pan support arm having two arms which laterally encompass a pan, on each of which a pivotably mounted lever is arranged, there is a line of contact of the cambered load bearing surface of each lever with the pan in the tangential direction to the pan and the pivot axis of the lever arranged parallel to the line of contact.
A single pressure measuring device is expediently arranged in the vertical central plane of the lever for each lever.
The lever is advantageously designed in the shape of a trough in cross section, the central trough part of the lever carrying the spherical load bearing surface and the higher lateral ends of the lever being supported on a pressure load cell, with a line of contact of the spherical load bearing surface and the axes of the pressure load cells lying in a vertical plane.
According to a further object of the invention, the metallurgical vessel on the load suspension device should be arranged such that it can be raised and lowered, the weighing device being fully functional even during the lifting or lowering with constant measuring accuracy.
This object is achieved in that one on each end of the arms of a pan support arm

Known liftable and lowerable stool is arranged, the lever being pivotally mounted on the stool and supported either on the stool by means of a pressure measuring device, the pressure measuring device being inserted into a recess in a central guide column of the stool, or on the stool by means of two symmetrically to the vertical The middle plane of the lever of pressure measuring devices is supported, the axes of the pressure measuring devices lying in a vertical plane with a line of contact of the spherical load bearing surface of the lever.
Liftable and lowerable, the load-bearing stool are known from DE-OS 2636658 and 2247184, but, as mentioned at the outset, these references do not show the load-bearing levers which are pivotally mounted on the load suspension device, as a result of which the known constructions are complicated and space-consuming.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings of two exemplary embodiments, with FIG. 1 being a plan view of a support arm of a support tower in a schematic illustration.
EMI2.1
which has at its one end --2-- receiving end two arms - -3, 4-- which encompass the side of the pan. The support arm can be rotated about a support column, not shown, of the pan support rotating tower. At the ends of the arms --3, 4-- levers --5-- are arranged, on which the load, i.e. H. the support brackets --6-- of the pan --2-- are supported.
2 to 4, only the end of one of the arms is shown; the end of the other support arm is symmetrical to the axis --7-- of the support arm --1-- in the same way. The lever - is on one opposite the arm --3--; Liftable and lowerable stool --8-- articulated. The footstool --8-- is guided with a central guide column --9-- in the arm --3-- and can be raised and lowered by means of a pressure medium cylinder --10-- arranged on the side of the guide column --9--. The pistons --11-- of the pressure medium cylinder --10-- are screwed into steel supports --12--, which are supported on the stool --8-- by means of a shock absorber --13--, for example a rubber package.
The pressure medium cylinders --10-- are designed as hydraulic synchronous cylinders.
The lever --5-- is pivotally mounted on tabs --14--, which are welded to the outside of the stool --8--, by means of a pivot axis --15--, the pivot axis --15-- horizontally and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the support arm --1-- is arranged. The lever --5-itself is at its end facing the pan --2--, i.e. H. at its outer end - 16--, trough-shaped and in its middle part --17-- with a convex load bearing surface --18--. This load bearing surface --18-- extends parallel to the pivot axis --15-- of the lever --5--. Their line of contact --19-- with the support bracket --6-- of the pan - lies at the level of the swivel axis --15-- of the lever --5--, as can be seen from Fig. 3.
The laterally raised parts --20-- of the lever --5-- are supported on the stool --8-- by a pressure measuring device such as a pressure cell --21--, with the horizontal distance 22 of the axes - 23-- of the pressure cells --21-- from the swivel axis --15-- of the lever --5-- is exactly the same as the distance 24 of the line of contact of the load bearing surface with the support bracket. The lever - can thus be swiveled relative to the footrest by the distance that the pressure transducers --21-- give under load.
On the side of the stool facing the ladle turret --8-- there is an insertion plate-25-- which is U-shaped in plan (Fig. 4) and which allows the carrying strap --6-- to be inserted into the trough-shaped part --17 - the --17-- the lever --5-- relieved.
As can be seen in particular from FIG. 4, the line of contact --19-- of the load bearing surface --18-- runs in the tangential direction to the circumference of the pan --2--. The pivot axis --15-- of the lever --5-- is oriented parallel to the line of contact. However, it is at a greater distance from the circumference of the pan than the line of contact --19--.
The weighing device according to the invention makes it possible to place the support brackets --6-- of the pan --2- on the cambered load bearing surfaces --18-- as desired. H. it always delivers the same weighing result, regardless of the exact position of the support brackets --6-- of the pan - -2--, since the line of contact --19-- of the cambered load bearing surface --18-- with the support
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
tab --6-- always remains the same. It can be placed on the load bearing surface --18-- offset both in the direction of arrows 26 in FIG. 3 and in the direction of arrows 27 in FIG. 2.
Since the axes --23-- of the pressure cells --21-- with the line of contact --19-- of the cambered load bearing surface --18-- lie in one plane (see Fig. 3), the pivot axis is - 15-- of the lever --5-- to no friction forces distorting the measurement result.
According to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 to 7, only a single pressure cell --28--, which acts between the lever --5 '- and the stool --8--, is provided, this pressure cell being made of To save space, is inserted into a recess --29-- of the guide column. Since in this case the pressure cell --28-- must have a larger dimension than the two pressure cells --21-- used per lever --5-- according to the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 to 4, the axis is --30 - the pressure cell --28-- by a small distance 31 in the horizontal direction to the side next to the contact line --19-- the cambered load bearing surface - with the carrying strap --6--.
Although this has the consequence that low frictional forces arise on the pivot axis --15-- of the lever --5, -, however, due to the small distance 31 of the axis of the pressure cell to the line of contact of the cambered load bearing surface, this does not impair the accuracy of the measurement result Influence.
The vertical force flow from the is essential for the weighing device according to the invention
EMI3.1
it is important that the pressure cells are arranged exactly centrally under the force acting on the lever from the pan. Rather, it is essential that the distance, i. H. the normal distance 22 from the swivel axis --15-- of the lever --5-- to the axes --23-- of the pressure cells --21-- is approximately the same as the horizontal normal distance 24 of the contact line -19-- of the load bearing surface - -18-- from the swivel axis --15-- of the lever --5--. If the pressure cells --21-- are not arranged centrally under the lever (see Fig. 2), they are symmetrical to the central plane 32 of the lever.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown, but can be implemented for any metallurgical vessels, for example also for an intermediate vessel with a rectangular outline, the line of contact of the load bearing surface being directed parallel to a vessel side wall. Furthermore, it is possible to place a bottom of a metallurgical vessel on the spherical load bearing surfaces, in which case three levers with one load bearing surface each are expediently provided and the load bearing surfaces are spherical.
