<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a magnetic lock with a cylinder core rotatable within a housing with a key channel and with magnet rotors with recesses arranged separately therefrom
Pushing in the corresponding magnetic key enables a locking element protruding from the cylinder core to be pushed back.
In order to increase security against break-ins, there is a general requirement to install a second lock on entrance doors which, if possible, works according to a different locking system. In addition to Tuscan locks and cylinder locks, the magnetic lock is also an option.
Known designs of magnetic locks have magnetic rotors that are mounted in a cylinder. The rotors work together with a locking strip which can be pushed into a longitudinal groove in the housing that accommodates the cylinder. The locking bar is guided in the radial direction and is pushed out of the cylinder core by spring force so that it engages in the longitudinal groove of the housing. If the matching magnetically coded key is plugged in, the magnet rotors turn into a position in which they allow the locking bar to be pushed in and the lock to turn. If no key is inserted or if the wrong key or tool is manipulated, the rotors reach under the locking bar and prevent the locking bar from receding into the core.
The core thus remains blocked against rotation.
From DE-OS 1553 365 a cylinder lock with pin-shaped magnetic tumblers is known, which are rotatably mounted in radial blind bores of the cylinder core and protrude with their wedge-shaped heads in each core position in an annular groove provided in the housing. To rotate the core, they are not pushed out of the ring groove by the inserted magnetic key, but rotated around their axes so that their wedge-shaped heads coincide with the wedge-shaped cross-section of the ring groove. The cylinder core cannot be axially displaced, nor can it be coupled to a coupling part.
The aim of the invention is to create a new, modern lock construction that is relatively simple in construction and ensures optimum security. This is achieved in a magnetic lock of the type described in that an annular groove is provided in the housing in a manner known per se for the engagement of the locking element in the rest position of the lock and the cylinder core is axially displaceable against spring force in the housing by the key. and at the end of the cylinder core opposite the keyway opening at least one known driver for engaging the recess of a known coupling part rotatably arranged in the housing and provided with a locking tongue, the coupling part being spring-loaded against the cylinder core .
By inserting the magnetically coded key against the stop, the correspondingly magnetized rotors are set so that the locking element can be moved. Once the division has been reached, the cylinder core can be moved in the housing with the key against the spring load. In this inserted state, the key can be turned. By turning the key, the coupling can be brought into line with the driver on the cylinder core. If coverage is achieved, the coupling slides over the driver and thus creates the frictional connection, key to locking tongue. It has proven to be particularly advantageous that the core can be freely rotated via the annular groove in the locked state of the lock, so that attempts to twist off by attaching a key-like burglary tool cannot be successful.
It is expedient if the cylinder core has a circumferential shoulder at its end on the driver side which engages in a recess in the cylinder core guide in the housing, the axial length of which corresponds to the core displacement path. The approach prevents the cylinder core from being pulled out of the housing if it should succeed in knocking off the front housing rosette. In this case, too, the lock cannot be removed.
To further increase security, the bottom of the cylinder core between the end of the key channel and the driver can be designed as a weak point as a predetermined breaking point. If attempts are made to break through with a key-like break-in tool in the keyway, this point breaks before the locking element can be forcibly overcome. As a result, the lock continues to spin and cannot be opened.
In a particularly expedient embodiment, the coupling part is mounted so as to be axially displaceable and has a spring for producing a prestress which is directed against a stop plate and which is upstream of the driver of the cylinder core. If the driver is not congruent with the coupling recess, then when locking the coupling part is pushed back against spring force until: the first driver snaps into the corresponding recess and the coupling is established. The spring-loaded coupling and the driver can be designed in any shape and, for example, a Phillips, square, triangular, hexagonal or hexagonal head. Like. Have.
The design of the lock on the outside is characterized in that the housing encompasses the cylinder core on the front and has a circular, concentric opening for the key channel,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the diameter of which is greater than the height of the key channel opening, that the key channel is aligned with one of its narrow sides with the edge of the circular opening and that a steel disk is inserted between the front side of the cylinder core and the housing, which has a centrally located slot the width of the key channel and the length corresponding to the diameter of the circular housing opening.
The steel disk covers the cylinder core from the outside and offers effective protection against drilling.
It is also necessary that the key can only be removed after one complete turn. This is achieved in that the part directly adjoining the magnetically coded key part that can be inserted into the cylinder core has a nose whose radial length corresponds approximately to the difference between the diameter of the front housing opening and the height of the key channel and whose length corresponds approximately to the displacement path of the Cylinder core is the same. The key formed in this way can therefore only be inserted in one direction into the corresponding slot in the outer sleeve. This approach to the key has the task of only releasing the key after a 3600 turn.
After completing the 3600 turn, the spring loading of the inner sleeve pushes the key out of the lock.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawings.
Fig. 1 shows a cross section through the magnetic lock according to the invention with attached magnetically coded key and Fig. 2 shows a section along line II-II in Fig. 1, the lock being cut open to a quarter and the key removed.
The lock according to Fig. 1 consists of a cylindrical housing --1 - in which a cylinder core - is rotatably and longitudinally displaceable. The springs --3, 4-- press the cylinder core --2-- into the position shown. The cylinder core --2-- has a rib-like driver --5-- at one end, which can be pushed into a corresponding slot --6-- of a coupling part --7-- when the cylinder core is magnetically unlocked with the aid of the appropriate key --8-- is moved axially against the force of springs --3, 4--.
The coupling part --7-- itself can also be moved axially and is pressed by the spring --9-- against a stop plate-10--. If, for whatever reason, the slot --6-- of the coupling part - is rotated before the lock is operated in relation to the driver --5--, the coupling part 7 can be pushed away when the cylinder core 2 is moved.
If you turn the key --8-- further, the driver will coincide once with the slot --6--, whereupon the coupling part --7-- snaps into the driver --5--. The coupling part is then also rotated. A locking tongue 11 on the coupling part causes the closing or latch movement of the box lock or the like.
The lock itself is held on the door to be secured or in the lock case through bores-12, 13- using screws. To limit the axial displacement of the cylinder core --2--, this ring-shaped projection --14--, which slides in a corresponding recess. The approach --14-- also keeps the cylinder core --2-- in place, in case an intruder should succeed in knocking off the housing rosette --15--. The cylinder core cannot be removed from the outside and the locking function is retained even then. The predetermined breaking point in the base --16-- of the cylinder core --2-- fulfills a further safety function. If a forcible attempt is made to break through the cylinder, then the floor breaks --16 - before the magnetic blockage (Fig. 2) is overcome.
Furthermore, a hardened steel plate-17-, which is placed in front of the cylinder core, serves to protect against drilling. The nose --18-- of the key --8-- ensures that the key can only be inserted in one position. After pressing in and turning the cylinder, the outer flank of the nose slides along the inner surface of the rosette --15 - so that the key can only be removed as soon as it has been completely turned.
The magnetic locking system can be seen in particular in FIG. A circumferential annular groove --20-- is provided in the housing-l-, into which a locking element --21-- is advanced by spring force.
Furthermore, magnet rotors --22-- are provided below the locking element --21-- which have recesses. When the magnetically coded key - 8 - is inserted, the ma-

EMI2.2
removed, then any position and reach under the locking element --21-- engaging in the annular groove --20-- so that this light can recede. Although the cylinder core can be rotated around its axis without resistance, it cannot be pushed forward in the axial direction.
A locking process is therefore not possible.
For the exact definition of the position of the cylinder core --2-- in the position in which the key is
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Can be pulled, a ball catch --25-- is provided in the cylinder core --2--, which engages in an axial groove --24-- in the housing-l-. The notch --25-- and in particular the groove --24-- are arranged in such a way that the latter penetrates the step-like recess in the housing-l-corresponding to the extension --14--.
This ensures that the effective groove depth with the cylinder core --2-- disengaged is significantly greater than when the cylinder core is engaged --2--. This has the consequence that the overcoming of the detent --25 - takes place very easily - almost imperceptibly - during the locking process, however in the end position, e.g. when the key is removed or when the core is empty, a far greater force is required to overcome the detent. The neutral position cannot be changed by shocks or the like.
