The invention relates to a device for bending elongated metal rods into curlicues or curves, consisting of a footplate carrying a bending plate, which carries a bending arm that can be pivoted over the footplate and has a sliding mandrel for clamping the metal rod on the bending plate.
Bending machines for bending square or flat steels are known with which the steels can be cold-bent using templates to give any shapes, ellipses or circles. So is z. B. in DE-OS 1627450 describes a bending machine with several bending templates arranged one above the other, which allows a bending angle of up to about 3600. A height-adjustable support plate is also required to bring the material to be bent into the plane of the template concerned. The known bending machine works without any end stop, so every scroll or ring or
Circular ring can be bent by eye.
The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a device for bending elongated metal rods into curlicues or curves of the aforementioned type in such a way that parts that are to receive the same curvature turn out to be exactly the same, so that a curlicue or half-ring is exactly the same like the other.
The solution to the problem is that according to the invention the footplate has a circumferential. has closed guideway, on which and / or in which a bending stop is arranged displaceably and lockable, which protrudes into the pivoting path of the bending arm.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the guide track is a closed annular flange which is arranged in the center of the foot. In addition, the bending stop can be a rider or a slide with a guide groove that has a stop plate that can be pivoted about a radial axis.
The salient advantage of the inventive device for bending elongated metal rods into curlicues or curves over known devices is that with this the square or flat steels that are to be bent in the same way are bent in exactly the same way, so that an exact, always the same final bend is achieved . This makes a squiggle or half ring just like the previous one. With a firm stop, the bending arm always travels exactly the same distance.
In a further embodiment according to the invention, the stop plate has two noses which protrude beyond the top surface of the rider and against which a counter stop arranged on the bending arm rests. The noses serve to stop the bending arm and to terminate the pivoting movement, wherein the noses can advantageously be tilted so that the movement path of the bending arm can be released.
To lock the rider or the slide, it has a hexagon socket screw.
In a further embodiment according to the invention, the guide track within the footplate can be an open groove in which the bending stop is displaceably arranged, which has a bracing device for locking it at any point within the groove.
The invention is illustrated in the following description with reference to one in the drawings
EMI1.1
According to FIG. 1, the device according to the invention for bending elongated metal rods into curlicues or curves consists of a basic element which, in the example shown, is a square footplate. This footplate-l-has through bores --19 - at its four corners for screwing the device onto a base, not shown. The footplate has a vertical axis around which a bending arm --2-- with a position bracket --4-- is rotatably mounted. The bending arm --2-- can thus be pivoted in the horizontal plane as required. The bearing holder --4-- of the bending arm --2-- sits on a round attachment --3-- of the footplate --1--, whereby between the position holder --4-- and the round attachment --3- - A ball bearing or the like can be arranged.
The footplate-1- also carries a flat bending plate --5--, which is connected to the footplate --1--, preferably via the axis about which the bending arm-2-- is pivotable. The bending arm --2-- can thus be freely pivoted horizontally between the footplate -l- and the bending plate --5--. An exchangeable folding curlicue --6-- is screwed onto the bending plate --5-- and represents the bending template for bending square or flat steel. This bending template can have any curvature for producing the most varied of curlicues or curvatures.
The bending template --6-- has a bending surface --7-- which is arranged perpendicular to the table surface of the bending plate --5--; The workpiece is bent around this bending surface --7--. An eccentric clamping lever --8-- is used to clamp the material to be bent.
The bending arm --2-- is preferably cranked in its rear area, the rear cranked part being designed as a support. The support --9-- has a through-hole in which a bending mandrel --10-- is movably arranged. The bending mandrel --10-- carries at its front end a rotatably fastened bending roller --11--, the outer surface of which is arranged parallel to the attachment surface -7- of the folding snorkel. The bending mandrel can be moved via a handwheel --12-- within the support --9--
