The invention relates to a check valve for above-ground storage containers with pressure compensation, in which a compensation bore is passed through the valve disk of the check valve and can be closed by a pressure compensation valve that opens in the opposite direction to the check valve. Such
Non-return valves are designed to prevent the stored product from leaking out of above-ground storage containers
Prevent siphoning. Since above-ground storage containers are also exposed to solar radiation, considerable pressures can occur in the lines that lead to a gas pump, which lead to leaks at the connection points and thus cause environmental pollution.
The known check valves of this type are usually spring-loaded (USA patents No. 3, 153, 423 and No. 3, 705, 600, French patent No. 1,314,919, British patent No. 296, 142) and the load on the valve disk therefore changes according to the spring diagram. Feathers also have the disadvantage that they can tire and break. If the springs are fatigued or broken, there is a risk that the above-ground storage container will empty, which causes considerable environmental pollution.
Another known check valve avoids springs, but does not provide any load on the valve cone and also does not allow pressure equalization (German patent specification No. 318497).
The aim of the invention is to create a non-return valve which, while avoiding springs, results in a reliable closure of the storage container with a closing force that remains constant in every position of the valve plate, but at the same time a pressure equalization between the lines leading to the fuel pump and the above-ground storage container with return of the stored product to allows the storage container, the occurrence of a siphon effect is avoided.
The essential feature of the invention in a vertically arranged check valve of the type described in the introduction is that the check valve can be closed by a weight, the weight having a chamber which is connected to the valve housing of the check valve through a bore and which is a housing of the Receives pressure equalization valve, wherein a spring-loaded valve plate is arranged in the housing, which closes an annular gap which is arranged between its valve rod and the housing and opens into the chamber and that the equalizing bore opening into the housing is arranged in a valve rod of the valve plate of the check valve.
In the non-return valve according to the invention, as an angle valve, the weight has a cylindrical shape and is placed on the valve plate coaxially with the latter, the weight being taken up by a cylindrical housing which is connected to the valve housing of the angle valve. According to the invention, a guide bolt engaging in a hole in the weight is fastened in a cover closing off the housing.
Details of the invention are explained with reference to the drawing, which illustrates an example embodiment of the check valve according to the invention schematically in section.
The check valve - 1 - according to the exemplary embodiment receives a pressure compensation valve - 2 -. The valve housing --3-- of the check valve --1-- has a nozzle - 4-- with which the check valve can be connected vertically to an above-ground storage container. A connection piece --5-- is used to connect a suction line, e.g. B. is led to a pump.
A valve plate - 6 - of the check valve works with a seat - 8 - of an insert inserted into the valve housing - 3
EMI1.1
together .-- 13-- a valve plate --15-- is guided and held by a spring - 14 - against an annular gap - 17 - which is between the housing --13-- and a valve rod --18- is arranged. An O-ring --16-- is provided for sealing.
The valve disk - 6 - of the check valve - 1 - is loaded by a weight - 19 - which has a cylindrical shape and for receiving the pressure equalization valve - 2 - with a chamber
EMI1.2
Check valve can be changed, whereby a desired closing force can be achieved. When an overpressure occurs in the line connected to the nozzle --5-, the pressure compensation valve --2- is loaded, whereby after a pressure that can be changed by the selection of the spring - 14 - is exceeded, the pressure compensation valve opens, in that liquid flows through the annular gap - 17 - enters the housing --13-- and presses the valve disk - 15 - downwards.
The liquid then returns to the container through the compensating bore --11-- in the valve rod - 10 - of the check valve - l -.
