  Clamp for sealing damaged hoses.

It is known to use clamps with a retractable sealing patch for sealing defective hoses, the spindle carrying the latter being screwed into a crosspiece which is used to connect the ends of the clods. Such an arrangement adhere u. a. the disadvantages that the clamp does not cling well to the hose and that the damaged area comes close to the clamp closure. According to the invention, the abovementioned inconveniences are prevented in that the press screw used to readjust the sealing patch is embedded in one of the two hingedly connected clamp halves.

The drawing illustrates the subject matter of the invention in FIG. 1 in cross section and in FIG. 2 in front view.

The two parts 1 and 2 of the clamp can be rotated in a known manner about a hinge 3 and can be closed by a buckle 4. The, as usual, retractable, concave-shaped sealing spot 5 is arranged according to the invention in such a way that the press screw 6 used to readjust it is embedded in one of the two clamp halves. This arrangement has the advantage over known devices that the clamp clings particularly well to the hose and that the damaged point does not come to lie in the vicinity of the closure.
