Zur Abführung der Abgase von metallurgischen Öfen insbesondere solchen, bei denen eine Gasbehandlung der Schmelze stattfindet, ist es üblich, die Abgasleitung an einer Haube oder am Deckel anzuschliessen, der die Ofenöffnung verschliesst und beim Chargieren des Ofens weggenommen werden muss. Dies erfordert daher auch die Demontage der Absaugeleitung, was arbeitstechnisch aufwendig ist. Es ist ferner in der Regel auch ein zweiter Deckel ohne Absaugeöffnung vorgesehen, der bei Bedarf ausgewechselt wird. Wird der Ofen zum Entleeren gekippt, so muss die Absaugeleitung entweder demontiert werden, so dass der Ofen nur in einer bestimmten Lage, der Chargierlage, gesaugt werden kann oder aber die Leitung muss als flexibler Schlauch ausgebildet werden, was wieder bei den hohen Abgastemperaturen zu Schwierigkeiten führt.
Gemäss der Erfindung werden diese Nachteile bei einer Gasabsaugevorrichtung insbesondere für um eine Kippachse kippbare metallurgische Öfen dadurch vermieden, dass die Abgasleitung an eine Öffnung unterhalb des Deckels in der Seitenwand des Ofengefässes über dem Badspiegel angeschlossen ist. Auf diese Weise ist die Absaugeleitung nicht mehr mit dem Ofendeckel verbunden und dieser kann daher unabhängig von der Absaugung bewegt und auch ausgetauscht werden. Weiters ist es nunmehr möglich, eine starre, festverlegte Rohrleitung ohne Kupplung zu verwenden, die entsprechend hitzebeständig ausgeführt und ausgekleidet sein kann. Ist der Ofen zur Entleerung um eine Achse kippbar, so kann nach einem weiteren Kennzeichen der Erfindung die Abgasleitung von der Absaugeöffnung weg starr sein und über eine in der Kippachse des Ofens liegende Drehverbindung führen.
Diese kann als Stopfbüchse oder Labyrinth ausgebildet sein, so dass in jeder Kipplage des Ofens angeschlossen bleibt und voll funktionsfähig ist.
Der Gegenstand der Erfindung ist in den Zeichnungen beispielsweise dargestellt. Darin zeigt Fig. 1 einen kippbaren Ofen im Schnitt, von dem die Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht darstellt.
Wie man aus den Zeichnungen erkennen kann ist der Schmelzofen--l--um die Achse--8--kippbar und durch einen Deckel--3--oben verschlossen.
