a second floor --4-- serving as a cube support. This second base --4-- can be inserted directly or it can be formed in that the lower cup half consists of solid material, i.e. H. does not represent a cavity. The cup-3-- is advantageously made of wood or plastic, whereby in the former case only the required cavity is chiseled out and both cup bases are molded in one piece in plastic, preferably by injection molding. This has the advantage that the cup --3--, which is about a hand's breadth high, lies comfortably in the player's hand,
The mouth width of the beaker --3-- is chosen so that the cube lying on the second base --4-- always lies flat.
The width of the cup could also be made so small that the circular area of the second base --4-- exactly corresponds to the diagonal of a cube area.
In this case, the falling cube-1-would only rest flat on the second floor --4-- in exceptional cases, because it can be supported on the walls of the cup if it falls at an angle. Thus, more than one face of the cube would be visible from above, at most three, and all visible eyes could be credited to the player.
How the toy is handled can be seen from the representations of the drawings. The player takes the cup --3-- in his hand, with the cube-l-hanging freely on the string --2-- as in Fig. 1.
With a skillful swing he then flings the cube up and tries to catch it with the cup --3-. If this succeeds and the cube --1-- lies on the second bottom --4- of the cup, as shown in Fig. 2, all eyes of the cube --1-- visible from above count, i.e. all of them if the cube is tilted eyes located on the visible surfaces.
PATENT CLAIMS: l. Cube toy, consisting of a frustoconical cup with an associated cube, characterized by the combination of features known per se: that the cube (l) is connected to the bottom of the cup (3), preferably made of plastic, via a string (2), the mouth width of the cup (3) is about one and a half times as large as the cube diameter and the height of the cup (3) is about hand width.
