Tube with paper jacket and rigid-walled metal head.

The invention relates to those for receiving pastes, paints, powdery materials and. Like. Suitable tubes, which consist of a II-permeable jacket made of paper or the like. And a rigid-walled metal head connected to it. The aim of the invention is to achieve a completely tight connection between the tube jacket and the metal head. An embodiment of the present tube is illustrated in the drawing. 1 shows a partially sectional view of the tube, FIG. 2 shows an individual view of the end of the tube, and FIG. 3 shows an individual view of the tube head in vertical section.

According to the invention, the upper end of the paper jacket a is clamped between nested rings c and d by first placing the upper edge of the outer ring d and then pressing it against this ring by sliding the inner ring c over it. The outer ring d expediently has an inwardly projecting annular flange e on its underside, against which the lower edge of the inner ring c rests. After the upper end of the paper jacket a is stiffened in this way, the metal head b is conveniently connected to it by flanging.

Because the upper end of the paper jacket a is firmly clamped between the flange f of the head b and the rings c, d by the pressure applied here, a completely tight connection between the tube jacket and head is achieved, which allows the tube contents to escape at the connection point certainly prevented.

After the tube has been filled, the lower end of the paper jacket a is expediently rolled into a thin strip which serves to close the tube on the one hand and to roll up the paper jacket a evenly when the tube is emptied on the other. thus represents the place of the Tubenschussels otherwise used for this purpose.

The connection of the upper tube jacket to the metal head can also be effected in other ways than by flanging, e.g. B. by screwing the metal head onto a thread attached to the stiffening edge of the paper jacket.

PATENT CLAIMS: t. Tube, the paper jacket (a) of which is clamped and stiffened with its edge adjacent to the rigid-walled metal head between two rings (c, d) lying one inside the other.
