Damit nun eine Berührung der metallischen Kontakte r, s und des   Kontaktstückes i   nach Vollendung einer Umdrehung auf der anderen Seite nicht stattfinden kann, ist an

PATENT CLAIM: Rheostat for medical and similar purposes, in which a sliding contact is moved over a surface made of graphite or similar material, characterized in that the resistance plate (p) consists of emery paper coated with pencil or graphite.
