provided with a thread or otherwise have to be prepared, because this requires the use of additional tools, which are not always available.
The aim of the invention is to propose a connecting member which meets these requirements and which is suitable for both the temporary and the permanent mutual connection of pipes or rods. Furthermore, the connecting element should be universally usable and adaptable and, in addition, should have a low weight and resistance to corrosion. According to the invention, this is achieved in that it comprises at least two individual detachably joinable connecting elements, which when joined together at least partially have the shape of a pipe section divided in the longitudinal center plane with a conical jacket surface, and at least one tubular sleeve with a conical bore which can be pushed onto the pipe section.
The connecting element can be an axially halved pipe section with one or more axially halved pipe sections protruding perpendicular thereto.
In the drawings, exemplary embodiments of the proposed connecting member are shown and are described in more detail below. 1 shows a simple cross-connecting element, FIG. 2 a tubular sleeve, FIG. 3 a first exemplary embodiment of a connecting element, FIG. 4 a double cross-connecting element, FIG. 5 a second exemplary embodiment of a connecting element, FIG. 6 a longitudinal connecting element, FIG. 7 a third exemplary embodiment of a connecting element, FIG. 8 a triple cross-connecting element, FIG. 9 a fourth exemplary embodiment of a connecting element and FIG. 10 a fifth exemplary embodiment of a connecting element.
In Fig. 2, a tubular sleeve - 1 - is shown. It has a conical bore and a cylindrical outer surface. In Fig. 1, a simple cross-connecting element --2-- is shown, which consists of a cylindrical pipe section --3-- which is halved in the axis and which carries an axially halved pipe section --4-- as an extension on the side. While the inner and outer surface of the pipe section-3-cylindrical

Levels coincide.
In Fig. 3 it is shown how two pipes - 5 and 6 - can be put together at right angles to one another by means of the proposed connecting element. The connecting element consists of two elements - 2 - and a sleeve which is pressed on over the two extensions. The conicity of the bore of the socket - 1 - corresponds to the conicity of the outer surface of the two extensions --4--.
The double cross-connecting element - 7 - according to FIG. 4 also has a middle part -8- designed as an axially halved pipe section, to which an extension -9 and 10- is attached on both sides - stand out and also have the shape of axially bisecting pipe sections. While the inner surface of all parts - 8, 9 and 10 - and the outer surface of the part --8 - are cylindrical, the outer surface of the two extensions - 9 and 10 - are designed with a radius that decreases towards their free end. The radius of the cylindrical inner surface of the parts - 8, 9 and 10 - corresponds to the radius of the rods to be connected.
The connecting element according to FIG. 5 for connecting three pipes - 11, 12 and 13 - consists of two elements - 7 - and two sleeves pressed onto them. In FIG. 6, a longitudinal connecting element - 14 - is shown, which as axially halved pipe section is formed with a cylindrical inner surface. The outer surface has a radius that decreases evenly from the center towards the two free ends

7--18-- with the shape of a section of a cylindrical pipe section extending over 90 and is provided with i extensions - 19 and 20. These are arranged at right angles to the middle part - 18 - and enclose an angle of 900 with one another.
In a corresponding manner, they are designed as axially halved pipe pieces with a cylindrical inner surface and with a radius that decreases uniformly on the outside towards the free end.
Fig. 9 shows a connecting member which is used to connect two tubes - 21 and 22 - which are perpendicular to each other, with a further tube - 23 - which in turn is perpendicular to the two tubes - 21 and 22 - stands. This connecting organ consists of one element - 17-, two elements
EMI1.4
Finally, FIG. 10 shows how five tubes - 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 - are cross-connected to one another. The connecting element required for this comprises four elements - 17 - and four sleeves

If additional security against loosening of the pipe connection made with the proposed connecting element is desired, the individual elements can be secured with blind rivets, for example.
The individual elements of the connecting member are preferably made of plastic; however, an aluminum version is also possible.
The proposed connecting member is extremely versatile and can be used to connect pipes or rods in all conceivable combinations. It is resistant to corrosion, is light in weight and can easily be used by any layperson. A subsequent release of the connection is possible at any time, whereby the individual elements can continue to be used and, if necessary, can be combined again.
