  Schneeachuh.

  Snowshoe.

The present invention relates to an improvement in snowshoes, which consists in that the sole plate is rotatably arranged at the front1 so that one can bend the foot forward as desired when walking or falling and thereby direct the snowshoe with absolute certainty.

In the drawing, a present invention according to manufactured snowshoe is shown in
 EMI1.1
that an elastic rod sole g is attached to the running rail a in such a way that it rests loosely with its end at b on the running rail, but its other end c is movably suspended by means of two eyelets e on a bolt m which is in two lascbon f, which are attached to the side of the running rail, is arranged. On this bolt, between the two eyelets e, there is a strong spiral spring d, one end of which is fixed, while the other presses on the steel sole 9 and in this way inhibits the rotation of the same around the bolt.

At the end b, the steel sole has a bent tab h on each side, to which a sturdy piece of leather i for the heel and the instep strap L is attached. At the front end c, however, the intermediate belt l is arranged. If the foot is strapped into these two straps, it is not immovably and rigidly connected to the running rail, as with the previous types of fastening, but can be rotated forwards. which has the advantage that you can bend your foot forward as you like while walking or falling and direct the snowshoe with complete safety, since the elastic steel sole plate can only be bent forward, but not moved sideways.
