The invention relates to a pressure equalization valve on pressure cookers with one opposite the
Pot in its closed position and from this lid rotatable about a vertical axis with a downwardly directed edge flange through which a horizontal locking rod securing the lid against rotation
Actuating button protrudes, which carries an opening that closes and opens the pot interior space with the atmosphere.
Through the franz. Patent specification No. 65,157 (addition to No. 1,085,283) discloses a pressure cooker in which the rotatable lid can also be connected to the pot in a pressure-tight manner by a bayonet lock formed from ribs or ring flanges and counter ribs or flanges has on a horizontal outer surface a recess for receiving a valve stem.
The internal pressure that builds up in the pot is applied against the valve disc of the plunger, which establishes or interrupts the connection between the pot interior and the atmosphere. In this known embodiment, the
The internal pressure of the pot can only be reduced by turning the lid, but this means that the internal pressure of the pot acting against the lid causes the ribs or flanges of the closure on the edge of the lid and on the
The edge of the pot are pressed together and turning the lid is difficult or impossible as long as the
Pressure is not relieved in any other way.
The German Auslegeschrift 1265940 also discloses a safety device for pressure cookers in which the end of a rocker arm, which is pivotably mounted on the valve housing located in the lid, runs onto a curved path on the inner wall of the pot and thereby actuates the valve plate via a plunger. Here too, if the lid is connected to the pot in a pressure-tight manner by means of a rotary lock, a considerable amount of force is required to be able to rotate the lid when there is internal pressure in the pot. The design of the valve as a pressure relief valve cannot remedy this either.
In one of the embodiments of the pressure compensation valves according to the French. Patent specification No. 1,046,863 requires releasing the internal pressure of screwing in and out a valve stem, with a second
Embodiment, the pressure relief opening is attached in the upper edge of the pot, which is why the pot can be filled accordingly less, and the internal pressure of the pot does not increase the sealing effect of the valve, but rather reduces it.
The object of the invention is to address the disadvantages of the known ones described above
Avoid pressure equalization valves on printhead pots where the lid is turned by means of a
Bayonet lock is connected to the pot in a pressure-tight manner.
To solve this problem, the invention provides a pressure compensation valve of the type described above, in which the locking rod is arranged above the pot edge in the edge flange of the lid and carries a vertical valve plate on its portion protruding into the lid interior, the lower one
Edge or part of the valve rod in the open position of the valve disk both rests against the inner wall of the pot and is received in a recess in this wall in its closed position.
The valve according to the invention offers the possibility of simply pressing the operating button of the
Valve rod to release the internal pressure in a regulated manner in order to open the lid, which is no longer under the action of the
Pot internal pressure is to rotate, the structure of the valve is simple. The pressure inside the pot also has a sealing effect on the valve disc, you support the sealing effect of the disc when the pressure inside the pot increases.
In the closed position of the valve, the valve disk or its lower edge or the valve rod part protruding into the inside of the pot ensures that the lid cannot be rotated relative to the pot.
The valve rod preferably has a round cross section and is provided with longitudinal grooves which form the valve openings. At the end protruding from the edge flange of the cover, the valve rod carries the actuation button located at a distance from the valve body, which is arranged opposite the grooves of the valve rod in such a way that when the valve is open the hot steam is not directed at the user, but rather against the user The side of the operating button facing the pot rebounds and can escape relaxed and cooled in the space between this button and the pot rim.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the valve rod is assigned a locking rod located transversely to it, the two rods holding each other in an extreme position counter to spring action.
The valve rod is provided with a recess which forms a flattening, and with an adjacent recess with a circular or approximately circular cross-section, which corresponds to the cross-section of the locking rod.
In addition, the locking rod has a recess which is also delimited by a flattening which cooperates with the flattening of the one recess in the valve rod. The locking rod is under the action of a compression spring which tries to push the actuating button attached to one end of the rod out of the cover or the handle carrying the valve.
In the latter embodiment, the valve rod is preferably provided with a bend at its inner end, which forms a valve rod part and which, when the valve rod is in the closed position, protrudes into a bore on the inner edge of the upper edge of the pot, which functionally corresponds to the recess of the embodiment described above.

In the drawings, embodiments of the pressure compensation valve according to the invention are shown, u. 1, 2 and 3 show an embodiment with a detail, the valve being shown in the closed position in FIG. 1 and in the open position in FIG. 3, FIGS. 4 and 5 the same embodiment, but with a modified shape of the recess and of the edge of the inner wall of the pot, FIG. 6 shows a second embodiment in section with a valve rod in its open position, FIG. 7 shows a section of the valve rod along line VII-VII in FIG. 6, FIG. 8 shows a section along line VIII-VIII 1 and a side view of the locking rod, FIG. 9 the parts in the closed position of the valve rod, FIG. 10 the locking and valve rod in the position of the parts according to FIG. 1, ie
in the open position of the valve rod, Fig. 11 the valve rod and the locking rod in the position of the parts according to Fig. 4, d. H. in the closed position of the valve rod and FIG. 12 the mutual position of the valve and locking rod in the position of the parts in FIG. 4.
The lid --1-- of the pressure cooker has a downwardly directed flange --2-- with a recess --3-- (Fig. 1, 3, 6, 9), the top and bottom of the ribs 4, 5 - is limited. The edge of the pot --6-- has an outwardly directed flange --7-- which forms a bayonet lock with the ribs 4, 5-. The lid is connected to the edge of the pot in a pressure-tight manner by turning around its vertical central axis, or opened by turning in the opposite direction and can be removed from the pot in this state.
The vertical edge flange --2-- of the cover --1-- of the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3 has a horizontal hole - 8-- into which a sleeve --9-- is screwed, which has a horizontal hole --10-- owns. This hole accommodates a valve rod --11--, the end of which protruding from the socket -9- is provided with an actuating button --12--. Between this button and the flange-13-of the socket-9-there is a spring-14-which tries to push the valve rod -11- in the direction of the arrow -K-.
The valve rod -11- has a polygonal, flattened or grooved-15-

Pot edge --6-- is located. This recess --19 - can in cross section, as shown in Fig. 2 in full
Line shows, be arched or, as shown in dashed line, be formed as a cross-section angular recess --21--.
The functioning of the valves shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is as follows: When the lid --1-- is placed on the edge of the pot --6--, the valve rod --11-- is pressed inwards in the opposite direction to the arrow K so that the parts assume the position shown in Fig. 3 and the ribs - 4, 5 - and the flange --7-- interlock. Then the actuation button -12- can be released so that the spring -14- presses the valve rod in the direction of the arrow-K-. In this position, the lower edge --18-- of the valve disk --16-- rests against the inner wall --20-- of the edge of the pot.
If the cover is rotated about its horizontal central axis into its closed position, the lower edge --18-- of the valve disk --16-- engages in the recess --19-- when the cover is in the closed position, whereby the seal - -17-- comes to rest on the socket --9-- in such a way that the grooves --15-- of the valve stem are sealed off. In this closed position, the valve disk and its seal --17-- are not only held by the spring --14--, but the internal pressure that builds up in the pot and under the lid acts on the area --22-- (Fig. 3) of the valve disk --16--.
To open the valve, press the button --12-- again in the opposite direction to the arrow-K-inwards and at the same time turn the cover a little so that the lower edge of the valve disk --18-- on the inner wall --20-- to the Plant is coming. In this way, by releasing the button --12 - the lid can be turned into its open position and removed from the pot rim-6.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 4, the upper, inner edge of the inner wall --20-- at --23- is beveled. When placing the lid --1-- on the pot rim --6-- it is no longer necessary to press the actuating button -12- in the direction of the arrow --S--, rather the lower edge - 24-of the valve disk rim-18 slides - along the bevel at --23-- until the lower edge of the valve disk engages in the recess --19 or 21. To open the valve, you only need to press the actuating button in the direction of the arrow-S- until the edge --24-- comes into contact with the bevel - 23-- of the inner wall of the pot when the lid is turned slightly in relation to the edge of the pot.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the recess -19, 21-can be designed in such a way that it merges into the bevel -23- as a three-dimensional curve. To turn the lid from its closed position into its

The space --37-- can also have the shape of a hole, which like the space --37-- is directed downwards, so that the over the flattened section --35-- and the hole --36-- the pressure and steam escaping from the pan are directed downwards.
The valve rod -11-- protrudes through a hole --39-- of the part --38-- to an extension - -40--, where the valve rod is surrounded by a spring --41--, one of which is an abutment the shoulder formed by the extension - 42 -, while the other abutment is formed by the bottom or the underside of a push button --43--. At the height of the section of the valve rod --11-- protruding through the bore --39--, the

receiving extension -53- is formed. The locking bar -48- is therefore pressed in the direction of the arrow-S- in Fig. 9.
The middle section of the locking rod -48--, which as well as the valve rod -11-- across
EMI3.3
In the starting position of the parts according to Fig. 6, the valve rod -11- is shifted to the left, so that the spring -41- is compressed and the bent end -31- of the valve rod is outside the bore -34- - is located. In this position, the locking rod -48-- is pressed upwards by its spring - so that it rests with its full cross-section according to FIG. 10 in the circular recess --46--. As a result, the valve rod --11-- is prevented from moving in the direction of the arrow --L-- in Fig. 6 under the action of its spring --41--.
If now the locking of the lid with the pot is to be carried out by longitudinal displacement of the valve rod --11 - to the right (engagement of the end 31 - in the bore - 34 -) and the parts take the position shown in Fig. 9 , it is only necessary to press the button --51-- in the direction of the arrow-K- in Fig. 6, whereby the locking bar --48-- assumes the position according to Fig. 9 and hereby its recess --54-- reaches the height of the valve rod --11--. This, however, releases the valve rod 11 for a movement in the direction of the arrow L in Fig. 6 and is moved to the right by the spring 41.
The two flats 45 and 55 of the rods 11 and 48 slide against one another in their position according to FIG. 11 in such a way that it is not necessary to continuously press the button 51, as can be seen from FIG is, the lower edge --56-- of the recess --54-- of the valve rod --48- rests from below against the valve rod 11 - at the level of the recess --44--. This means that the locking rod --48-- is held in its position according to Fig. 9 until the button --43-- of the valve rod --11-- is unlocked in the direction of the arrow-M-in Fig.
9 is pressed, whereby the cranked end --31-- of the valve rod --11-- out of the hole -34-

and the semicircular recess -46- is moved to the level of the locking rod -48, so that the two rods -11 and 48-assume the position according to FIG. 10 and the parts again assume their starting position according to FIG. The valve rod --11-- remains in this position without the need to press the button --43-- until the pressure inside the pot passes through the flattened longitudinal section -35- and the radial bore --36-- escaped.
During the longitudinal adjustment of the valve rod -11-, the seal -33- lies against the inner end face of the sleeve -9-and thereby closes the longitudinal section -35- of the same (Fig. 9) or the seal lifts itself off the called end face from (Fig. 6), whereby the pressure and steam can escape from the inside of the pot via the longitudinal section -35-, the bore -36- and the space -37.
A turning of the valve rod --11-- about its longitudinal axis, whereby the end -31-could come out of alignment with the bore --34--, is caused by the interaction of the two flattened areas - -45, 55-- of both rods - 11, 48-- and the engagement of the full rod cross-section of the locking rod --48-- in the recess --46--, the cross-section of which is adapted to the cross-section of the rod -48-.
