As is known, adhesive binders are made by hand. In this case, the envelope covers, previously cut to size, are provided with a backing strip having a self-adhesive layer on its inner surface. Such production is cumbersome and makes adhesive binders more expensive.
However, the latter are becoming more and more important as they are used on the one hand as a filing folder or on the other hand as a cover, for example for check sheets or the like.
The object of the invention is to create a machine with a simple design for the inexpensive production of adhesive binders, by means of which large numbers of adhesive binders can be produced in a very short time.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that on the inlet side of a known pair of pressure rollers for the cover material strips adjacent support shafts for receiving a supply roll each and one or more support shafts located in the area between the two cover material strips and also upstream of the pressure roller pair on the input side for one or more adhesive tape rolls, the latter being provided a driven deflection roller is connected downstream of the pair of pressure rollers, a pair of pressure rollers driven synchronously with the deflection roller and a cross-cutting device downstream of the pair of pressure rollers, and that in front of the pair of pressure rollers there is a further support shaft arranged in the area between the two cover material strips for receiving a protective strip roll,
downstream of which are a cutting device that divides the protective strip longitudinally and / or a folding device that acts longitudinally on the protective strip and a pressure roller.
According to the invention, it is advantageous that the protective strip roller support axis can be displaced transversely to the direction of passage.
According to the invention, it is advantageous if a plurality of adhesive tape roll support axes are combined in a preferably star-shaped arrangement to form a magazine so that they can be rotated about an axis.
An essential feature of the invention is that the deflection roller is designed as a spiked roller, so that it only touches the adhesive strip over a narrow area.
As a result of such a configuration, a machine with a simple design is created, by means of which adhesive binder folders can be produced extremely inexpensively.
There is the advantage of producing the adhesive binders in one piece, which is then cut in a cross-cutting device to achieve the requested size of the binders. The cover material supply rolls are advantageously supported on the inlet side of a pair of pressure rollers on two support shafts lying next to one another. The latter are easily accessible to an operator, so that, for. B. a postponement of a new supply roll is easy to carry out. Together with the supply roll strip, an adhesive strip runs through the pair of pressure rollers, where there is a bond between the strip of cover material and the adhesive strip. The latter is pulled off a roll of adhesive tape, the support axis of which is advantageously located on the central joint of the supply roll support axis and is also connected upstream of the pair of pressure rollers.
Downstream of this pair of pressure rollers is the cross-cutting device, which cuts the strip of cover material that is leaving the pair of pressure rollers and is stuck together at a distance from the adhesive strip to the required length. If the adhesive strip is to be covered in the middle or if the adhesive binders are to be used as a cover, for example for check sheets, it is advantageous to provide an inner protective sheet in the folder. For this purpose, it is only necessary to provide a further support axis for a protective strip roll, which is located above the inlet plane of the strip of cover material and is arranged in the area of the aforementioned central joint.
The relevant support axis can be displaced transversely to the direction of passage for adaptation to the exposed adhesive strip section of the adhesive strip. It has proven to be advantageous to peel off the adhesive tape from adhesive tape rolls of smaller diameter, the supporting axes of which are combined to form a star-shaped magazine. This magazine can be rotated step by step and is easy to load. The adhesive strip withdrawn from the roll of adhesive tape is most favorably diverted by a deflection roller arranged in front of the pair of pressure rollers and located at the open angle of the adhesive tape. If this deflection roller is designed as a spiked roller, it only comes into punctiform contact with the adhesive strip.
After the supply roll strips have been glued by means of the adhesive strip, the strips are severed in the cross-cutting device, with the adhesive binders falling onto a storage area below the cross-cutting device. The further pair of pressure rollers provided between the inlet-side pressure roller pair and the cross-cutting device can, for example, be set to greater pressure in order to achieve an even more intensive gluing of the strips. By means of a cutting and / or folding device arranged upstream of the inlet-side pressure roller pair and downstream of the protective strip roll, the protective strip can be divided or perforated or folded lengthwise, depending on the intended use of the adhesive binder.
Further advantages and details emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment, which is shown in the drawings. 1 shows a schematic side view of the machine according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the machine and FIG. 3 shows a section along the line III-III in FIG. 2, but on a larger scale.
