Die Erfindung betrifft einen Stuhl mit drehbarem, der Höhe nach verstellbaren) Sitz, bei dem eine Sperrklinke beim Anheben des Sitzes ein Verstellen einer Zahnstange nach oben gestattet, sie jedoch gegen Rückwärtsbewegung so lange sichert, bis die Sperrklinke in der höchsten Stellung der Zahnstange aus der Bahn ihrer Zähne gebracht ist und hierauf den Niedergang der Zahnstange bis in ihre tiefste Lage gestattet, in welcher die Sperrklinke wieder in die Bahn der Zähne der Zahnstange tritt. Ähnlich wirkende Ein- richtungen sind an verstellbaren Rückenteiles von Matratzen bekannt geworden. Die Erfindung wird daher in der Übertragung dieser Einrichtung auf einen Stuhl mit drehbarem und verstellbarem Sitz in der dadurch hervorgerufenen Abänderung gesehen.
