The invention relates to a device for the continuous production of flexible, in particular tubes provided with transverse grooves made of thermoplastic material, in which a plastic tube emerging from the nozzle of an extrusion press can be fed to a mold which can be moved with the tube and which consists of a plurality of each on an endless There is a path of movable mold halves and for pressing the pipe against the mold in the nozzle core has a central bore for supplying a pressure medium, and is provided at a distance from the nozzle with a plug that can be fixed in the pipe to prevent the pressure medium from escaping from the pipe.
A device is known which comprises a stopper or plug which is held in a smooth tube by means of a rod. The introduction of the stopper with the rod is very laborious, since this stopper can only be connected to the rod with the bolt attached to the extruder mouthpiece when a sufficiently long pipe section has been extruded and its closed end has been severed or an auxiliary stopper that closes the pipe has been removed. The rod is connected to the bolt by a coupling arranged on the rod which, when the rod is pushed in, locks into an annular groove of the bolt with their claws, which can be pivoted against the action of a spring. The construction of this known device is therefore also very complex.
It is also disadvantageous that the air outlet takes place eccentrically, since the bolt is arranged in the longitudinal axis of the extruder mouthpiece or the tube.
Furthermore, a device is known which has a plug which is used to calibrate the inner wall of a smooth, still semi-plastic tube. It hangs on a wire rope that is passed through a central hole in the core of the extruder head and attached to it. No overpressure is maintained in the pipe as the air can escape through the side opening of the extruder head.
In a device of the type mentioned at the outset, the invention aims to make the device for holding the plug firmly in the pipe simple, the plug being automatically brought into its functional position in the pipe and this position being able to be varied. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the plug is attached in a manner known per se to a wire cable routed outward through the central bore of the nozzle core, the wire cable being sealed on the outlet side and being variable in length during pipe production by an optionally adjustable stop so that the plug is carried along by the pipe when it starts up and can be fixed in the pipe at any distance from the nozzle.
The advantage of the device according to the invention is that the cumbersome manipulation required in the known device when inserting the plug is dispensed with, since the plug is carried along when starting up until the wire rope is tensioned. This wire rope is led outwards, but its length can be changed during the pipe production by an adjustable stop, so that the plug can be held in the pipe at any distance from the nozzle and thus the cooling zone can be adjusted as required.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawing, which is a longitudinal section

For this purpose a wire rope --9-- is provided, which leads through the central bore of the torpedo --3-- and a radial bore --10-- of the torpedo carrier and runs over a pulley -11-. The end of the wire rope passes through a tab-12- on which it is fixed in its extended position by the stop piece-13-attached to the wire rope in an adjustable manner. This is where the

the rope is withdrawn so that the plug --8-- takes the position shown in dashed lines.
It is then carried along with the pipe --7-- emerging from the nozzle, until the wire rope is held in place by the stop --13-- and thus the plug --8-- its stationary position against the pressure acting on it the torpedo --3-- takes in the air blown in, so that the tube is pressed against the mold by the air pressure and shaped.
