Toe piece for ski bindings
The invention relates to a toe piece for ski bindings, which has a bottom hold-down device that can be rotated relative to a base plate, rises obliquely towards the sole, is optionally closed off by an edge that overlaps the sole and partially follows the shape of the toe, with a surface that prevents the boot from climbing up, and one in the event of overload has releasable locking mechanism carrying head, which consists of one piece together with the sole hold-down.
In the known toe piece of this type, the shoe is supported with its tip on the jaw, which has the disadvantage that when the jaw is pivoted out in the moment of danger, the shoe is initially compressed, which can lead to foot injuries.
Furthermore, it is known to provide the sole hold-down with laterally protruding parts, which are only supported on both sides of the shoe, leaving its toe free, so that no compression of the shoe occurs at the beginning of the pivoting of the jaw, but the support of the shoe on the sole hold-down is poor, which This is primarily due to the fact that the known sole hold-down does not have a surface that prevents the shoe from climbing up and is also pivotably mounted as an independent part on the head of the jaw that supports it.
In order to avoid all the disadvantages of the known constructions and, in addition to simple production and assembly of the jaw, also to achieve a surprisingly safe functioning of the same, a toe jaw of the type mentioned at the beginning is proposed, in which, according to the invention, the inclined surface in a known manner on the sides of the Shoe has protruding parts that are only supported on both sides of the shoe, releasing its tip.
Further details of the invention will be explained with reference to the drawings, in which an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown. 1 shows an axial longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows a plan view and FIG. 3 shows a front view of the jaw.

The end of the head facing the shoe ends in a sole hold-down device --7 - which is formed in one piece with it and which has a contact surface --8-- which rises towards the toe and which, following the shape of the toe, is laterally drawn towards the shoe is. The shape is chosen so that the tip of the shoe only

In order to prevent the shoe from climbing up the surface --8 -, it is designed in steps. Instead of this gradation, toothing, ribbing or corrugation and a smooth, rough or profiled covering made of rubber, plastic or the like can also be used.
