  Keramisches Unterglasurabziehbild.

  Ceramic underglaze decal.

In parent patent no. 29103 a ceramic underglaze image is described in which a glaze layer obtained by powdering and smoothing is located between the soluble layer which enables peeling off and the image layer. It has now been found that the process for producing the underglaze image is easier to carry out and the underglaze layer can be produced more evenly if the glaze layer is applied by brushing with rollers or by some other mechanical means under pressure instead of powdering. The subsequent smoothing is then unnecessary and the glaze layer is more solid and more even on the paper for the printing process. Printing is then carried out on the glaze layer produced in this way, as described in the Stamm patents.

A binding agent, such as carbohydrates, dextrin, carraghee slime, varnish, etc., can also be added to the glaze during the spreading or rolling process, either individually or as a mixture.
