Hufnagelzange.
Der Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Hufnagelzange, bei welcher der dem Nagelkopfe als Widerlager dienende Backen hakenförmig einwärts gebogen ist, um mit diesem Backen den etwa nach aussen erhöhten Rand des Hufeisens (z. B. eines Renneisens) übergreifen zu können.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes in Seitenansicht.
Von den beiden Backen 1 und 2 der Hufnagelzange ist der erstere, welcher dem Nagelkopfe als Widerlager dient, der Erfindung gemäss hakenförmig einwärts gebogen. Der andere Backen 2 ist zweckmässig unter einem Winkel von 1200 gegen den Griff 8 gerad- linig auswärts gebogen und weist ein auswechselbares Einsatzstück 6 auf. Das abgebogene Ende 10 des Einsatzstückes 6 ist gleich wie das Stirnende 3 des Backens 1 mit Riefen ausgestattet.
Bei der Verwendung der vorliegenden Hufnagelzange wird der Backen 1 mit seinem Stirnende 3 auf den Nagelkopf gebracht, das geriefte Ende 10 des Einsatzstückes 6 an die Hufnagelklinge angelegt und durch Schliessen der Zange fest an die Hornwand angedrückt. Die beschriebene Anordnung ermöglicht es, mit dem Backen 1 den etwa nach aussen erhöhten Rand des Hufeisens, wie das z. B. bei Renneisen der Fall ist, übergreifen zu können.

The subject of the present invention is a horseshoe nipper, in which the jaws serving as an abutment for the nail head are bent inwards in the shape of a hook in order to be able to reach over the edge of the horseshoe, which is raised to the outside (e.g. of a race iron) with these jaws.
