Device for determining the incidence of the layers in boreholes.
The subject of the invention is a device for determining the direction of strike and collapse of core-capable layers in deep boreholes. In the device, a magnetic needle is pressed down in a known manner by a drop piece thrown into the rod, so that a tip attached to the magnetic needle is pressed into a soft plate and thus creates a mark on the plate. With such devices
EMI1.1
Magnetic needle must perform a rotation perpendicular to its plane of oscillation so that its tip can penetrate the soft plate.
The essence of the invention is that not the plate carrying the magnetic needle, but the magnetic needle itself is resiliently mounted in the plate and is therefore axially displaceable with the plate to be hit by it, which rests firmly in the housing.
This storage of the magnetic needle is intended to achieve a more precise effect of the device.
EMI1.2
Sections and shown in Figs. 2 and 3 in two horizontal sections.
The housing a to be connected to the core tube consists of two screwed halves between which the bearing plate for the magnetic needle 6 is clamped, the axis of the latter resting on an elastic body c. A layer cl of a wiped material is attached to the bearing plate, into which a downwardly directed tip e of the magnetic needle is able to easily penetrate when the needle moves axially.
A bolt f is passed through the tapering head of the housing a, which has a plate at the bottom which is provided with an annular buffer 9 in the usual manner. A shear pin h secures the propellant in its rest position. However, the attachment of the shear pin is not part of the invention,
In Fig. 1, the falling piece i is shown in the position that it assumes at the moment in which it strikes the Bolzenf during its movement in the hollow rod. From the position shown the case piece siukt either due to its own weight or
EMI1.3
to bring forth.
The lug k on the bearing plate and the bolt k 'in the housing a are used to correctly adjust the housing in the core tube.
