Einbohrband
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Drilling tape
For the pivoting articulation of doors, windows, furniture parts, etc., mortise tapes or drilling tapes are used. Caulking bands are held in place by pins driven in across the mortise and therefore have the disadvantage that they can be adjusted with difficulty. In the case of drill-in tapes, the screw bolt can be screwed in deeper or less deeply, whereby a certain adjustability is given in a relatively simple manner. With most of the known drill-in tapes, however, adjustment is only possible in steps to the extent of a whole pitch. In such drill-in tapes, the screw bolt lies transversely to the pivot axis, the male part and the nut part of the joint each having a screw bolt.
Drill-in tapes are also known in which the male part and the female part consist of screw bolts having an eyelet-shaped head, a hinge pin being inserted into the eyelets. In this known embodiment, eyelets can be slipped over the eyelets of the screw bolts in the direction of the joint axis, which only serve to cover the eyelet-shaped heads of the screw bolts and to ensure a nicer appearance.
These known drilling tapes have the disadvantage that the hinge bolt is only guided in the eyelet-shaped heads of the screw bolts, so that this bolt is subjected to bending in the area of the eyelets due to the weight of the wing, causing a creak when the wing is swiveled by rubbing the metal parts is caused, and also an easy pivoting of the doors is in question.
Drill-in hinges are also known which have screw bolts provided with an eyelet-shaped head, a plastic sleeve being connected to the head, which is used to support the door leaf. This allows a light and quiet movement of the wing, but this embodiment has the disadvantage that when the plastic parts wear out, the entire band has to be unscrewed, and it happens again and again that the wood of the wing when screwing in and unscrewing the screw bolts or the frame tears out and secure anchoring of the screw bolts is no longer guaranteed.
The invention has set itself the task of avoiding the disadvantages of the known drill-in tapes. The invention is based on a drill-in hinge with at least one screw bolt that can be screwed into the wing and at least one screw bolt that can be screwed into the frame, each of which has an eyelet-shaped head surrounded by a sleeve preferably made of plastic, with the screw bolts in the mutually aligned eyelets a hinge pin is arranged and the invention consists essentially in the fact that the sleeves can be attached transversely to the hinge axis and have a bore aligned with the bore of the eyelet and at least one incision arranged perpendicular to the bore, the width of which, measured in the axial direction, corresponds to the thickness of the eyelet , the sleeves attached to the eyelets being held in place by the hinge pin.
The design of the drill-in hinge according to the invention not only has the advantage that the drill-in hinge can be adjusted by half a pitch in the direction of the screw bolt axis,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Since the sleeves can be attached to the sleeve-shaped head of the bolt in any position of the screw bolt twisted by 1800, but the sleeves absorb all bending and bearing forces, so that safe guidance and easy pivoting of the sash is guaranteed, although the possibility still exists to replace worn sleeves in a simple manner without having to unscrew the screw bolts from the wood of the sash or the frame. This ensures that these screw bolts are always properly anchored.
Since these sleeves are only held in their position by the screw bolt after being plugged on, simple assembly is possible and unsightly fastening screws are not required. The axial distance measured in the pivot axis between the hinge part screwed into the frame and the hinge part or the like screwed into the door leaf is determined by the sleeves. It can therefore also be corrected by appropriately cut sleeves.
The known drill-in hinges also have the disadvantage compared to caulking hinges that the bolt must be comparatively strong, which means that strong door leaves or strong frames for such door leaves are required. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, two screw bolts with eyelet-shaped heads are provided both in the frame and in the wing, onto which a joint sleeve equipped with two incisions can be attached. Such a design of a hinge part with two screw bolts is made possible by the design according to the invention, since each screw bolt can be screwed in separately and the eye-shaped heads of the two screw bolts are only connected to one another in the screwed-in position by the sleeve.
Weaker screw bolts can therefore be used, which results in a lighter construction of the door leaf.
The invention is illustrated schematically in the drawings using exemplary embodiments. Fig. 1 shows a drill-in hinge in the assembled position, Figs. 2 to 5 show a hinge part as it comes into consideration for folded door leaves, wherein Fig. 2 shows the screw bolt and Fig. 3, 4 and 5 the sleeve in axial section Line III-III of FIG. 5 show in side view in the direction of arrow IV of FIG. 5 and in radial section according to line VV of FIG.

In Fig. 1 --1-- represents the door frame and --2-- the door leaf. The hinge consists of two parts - 3 and 4--, of which the hinge part --3-- on the door leaf and the hinge part - -4-- is fixed on the door frame. Each hinge part consists of two screw bolts --5--, which are screwed into the door leaf --2-- or onto the frame-l-. The screw bolts --5 - have an eye-shaped head --6 - according to Fig. 2 or --6 '- according to Fig. 6, which is delimited by plane-parallel surfaces.
