Hal8 ball bearings for shafts with high number of revolutions.
The present invention relates to such neck ball bearings for shafts with a high number of revolutions, especially centrifugal drum shafts, in which the outer and lower ball bearing part, mounted in a known manner with a spherical surface, receives a number of balls on which a second bearing part provided on the shaft rests. The essence of the present invention is that the outer and lower ball bearing part is embedded with its spherical surface in a fixed sleeve and is pressed by one or more springs in the axial direction upwards against a fixed stop in the sleeve or against the cover ring.
With this device one achieves on the one hand a reliable guidance of the shaft without, however, preventing the lateral oscillations of the same, on the other hand (in the case of centrifugal drum shafts) a cancellation or a substantial reduction of the pin friction in the foot bearing by the spring or ..
Springs can support the drum and its shaft in whole or in part

Ball bearing provided. This part can be made in one piece with the shaft 1 or, as shown in the drawing, be formed by a ring wedged onto the shaft. The part tapers conically towards the bottom and rests on a number of balls 4 which are arranged in a second bearing part.
This second bearing part 5 is carried by a helical spring tì, the lower end of which on a projection 7 or the like., U. between the lower end of a sleeve 9 inserted in the frame 8, in which the bearing part rests.)

is held. The surface of the bearing part 5 resting against the cylindrical inside of the sleeve 9 is spherical. so that this bearing part, contrary to the action of the spring 6, can yield, whereby the shaft 1 is given the opportunity to swing out of the central position to the side. In order to prevent the ball bearing part 5 from rotating in the sleeve, a screw 11 reaching through the sleeve 9 can be used, for example
