2.
Verbindungen der Formel R(CHO) H, worin R4 eine Alkoxygruppe mit 10 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen oder eine Alkylphenoxygruppe bedeutet, wobei die Alkylgruppe 6 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatome enthält, und x eine ganze Zahl von 4 bis 30 ist ;

wobei die Gesamtmenge der Fettsäuren der Seifen und des organischen synthetischen Waschmittels 16 bis 60 Gew.-% des Gesamtwaschmittels beträgt und das Gewichtsverhältnis von Fettsäuren zu dem organisehen synthetischen Waschmittel 1, 5 : 1 bis 4 : 1 ist ;

Liquid laundry detergent containing soap
The invention relates to liquid detergents containing soap and optionally sulfoxide, which are suitable for fine and coarse washing of fabrics and for dishwashing.
From the German Auslegeschrift 1130104 a cleaning agent containing a water-soluble soap as an essential active ingredient is known which contains a sulfoxide of the formula RR S = 0, in which R1 is a C - to C 0 ', preferably a C - to C -alkyl radical and Pure C- to C-aliphatic, preferably methyl radical. This cleaning agent is said to have the property of not forming calcium soap sludge in hard water.
In recent years, liquid detergents, particularly those based on synthetic detergents, have been used extensively for washing dishes and for washing lightly soiled or easy-to-wash fabrics. They are particularly suitable for washing dishes and washing fabrics by hand, where their advantages over conventional granulated detergents, namely easy and quick dispersibility in the washing liquid and easy handling, make them particularly valuable. However, it has proven difficult to produce liquid detergents based on both soap and a synthetic detergent with a detergency which is comparable to that of the usual granulated detergents for washing heavily soiled fabrics, i. H. for coarse laundry, is comparable.
It has now been found that liquid detergents based on selected soaps, certain nonionic and zwitterionic detergents, in particular tertiary amine oxides and certain
EMI1.1
They also foam quite well and are very suitable as dishwashing detergents. Some have the further advantage that they retain their foaming power in very soft water, even if they are designed to have good detergency in fairly hard water.
(In general, synthetic detergents, especially if they are designed to clean effectively in hard water, will foam poorly in very soft water, such as water of about 20 hardness or less.)
The soap-based liquid detergents according to the invention, however, have another advantage over synthetic detergents in that the abundant and stable foam that occurs in the washing liquid is relatively easily destroyed in the rinse water.
The liquid detergent according to the invention with a content of soap and optionally sulfoxide is characterized in that it consists of (a) a mixture of one or more water-soluble soaps of fatty acids with 10 to 16 carbon atoms and one or more of the following organic synthetic detergents:
1. tertiary amine oxides of the formula R1R2R3N> 0, where R is an alkyl, polyethoxyalkyl. Monohydroxyalkyl or alkoxymonohydroxypropyl group with 10 to 18 carbon atoms in the alkyl or alkoxy group and R2 and R (which can be identical or different) each represent an alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or alkoxy group with 1 to 3 carbon atoms or together a heterocyclic group

Form a group ;
2.
Compounds of the formula R (CHO) H, wherein R4 is an alkoxy group having 10 to 18 carbon atoms or an alkylphenoxy group, the alkyl group containing 6 to 12 carbon atoms, and x is an integer from 4 to 30;
3. zwitterionic detergent compounds of the general formula

wherein the total amount of the fatty acids of the soaps and the organic synthetic detergent is 16 to 60% by weight of the total detergent and the weight ratio of fatty acids to the organic synthetic detergent is 1.5: 1 to 4: 1;
(b) a proportion of one or more water-soluble organic chelating agent salts corresponding to 4 to 8% by weight of their acid, based on the total detergent, and (c) water, the pH of the agent being in the range between 8 and 12 and the cations the fatty acid soaps and chelating agents are sodium, potassium, ethanolamine, or mixtures thereof.
EMI2.3
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The agents can contain up to 15% by weight of a hydrotropic substance in order to increase the solubility of the other constituents. The hydrotropic substance can be a lower, saturated, monohydric alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, such as. B. methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, etc., or a hydrotropic electrolyte, such as toluene or xylene sulfonate or a mixture thereof. The cations of the sulfonates can be sodium, potassium, ethanolamine, or mixtures thereof, as discussed below. The preferred proportion of the hydrotropic substance in a given detergent according to the invention depends on factors such as, for. B. the nature and the amounts of the other ingredients and the storage conditions to which the detergent is likely to be exposed, and can be determined by experiment.
The agents can also contain small amounts of compatible additives that are usually added to detergents, such as. B. anti-fogging and anti-corrosion agents, dirt deposits such as carboxymethyl cellulose, odorants, dyes and the like. Like foam improvers, such as, for example, lauric acid monoethanolamide, and optical brighteners, can likewise be added in small amounts.
If optical brighteners are added to the liquid detergent, especially liquid detergents which are intended for washing fabrics, it is extremely desirable that they be in the detergent

A frame was set up in which two or more glass cylinders could rotate upside down.
A given amount of a 0.3% own test solution of agents A and B in water of a certain hardness was filled into each cylinder. A first portion of a standardized fat-soil addition was added to each solution. The cylinders then rotated in the frame for a standardized time, stood upright, and the height of the foam was read. A further portion of dirt was added and the process was repeated until almost no foam remained.
The sum of the foam heights read was recorded as the "foam height".

It was found that, compared to mean C ', mean E was 0.07 units, mean F 0.18 units, and mean G 0.33 units better, on a scale where a difference of 0, 31 units was within the experimental error limits. It was thus found that agent G had better detergency than agent C 'and agents E and F had at least the same detergency.
