Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

    zuBeispiel l : Eine Charge von glasüberzogenen Röhren aus rostfreiem Stahl, die in einem Strangpressverfahren hergestellt waren, wurde in eine Schmelze eingetaucht, die aus 12 Gew. -0 ; 0 Natriumnitrat, 10 Gew.-% Natriumchlorid, 15 Gew.-% Kaliumhydroxyd und 63 Gew. -0 ; 0 Natriumhydroxyd bestand. Die Temperatur betrug 4800C und die Behandlungsdauer 30 sec. Nach Abschreckung in Wasser und einer Beizung in verdünnter Säure zeigte sich, dass die gesamte Oberflächenschicht aus Glas und Zunder durch diese einzige Behandlung entfernt worden war.

  Process for cleaning, in particular for descaling metal surfaces in molten salts
 EMI1.1

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

    For example 1: A batch of glass-coated stainless steel tubes, which were produced in an extrusion process, was immersed in a melt consisting of 12% by weight; 0 sodium nitrate, 10% by weight sodium chloride, 15% by weight potassium hydroxide and 63% by weight -0; 0 sodium hydroxide. The temperature was 480 ° C. and the treatment time was 30 seconds. After quenching in water and pickling in dilute acid, it was found that the entire surface layer of glass and scale had been removed by this single treatment.

   Example 2: Workpieces made of titanium which had been subjected to an annealing process at 12000C were immersed in the molten salt according to Example 1. The scale layer on the surface of this material was also removed by a single treatment without the material taking up hydrogen.
