Verfahren zum Herstellen von Vliesstoffen
Die Herstellung von bindemittelhaitigen Vliesstoffen erfolgt normalerweise auf die Weise, dass die mit dem Bindemittel imprägnierten Vliese einem Trockenvorgang unterworfen werden.
Um eine Migration des Bindemittels zu den beiden Oberflächen des Vliesstoffes während des Trockenvorganges zu vermeiden, wird die Konzentration der Imprägnierflotte möglichst hoch gewählt. Der Nachteil, der sich bei einer Migration des Bindemittels bemerkbar macht, liegt im wesentlichen darin, dass insbesondere bei schwereren Vliesstoffen eine Verarmung des Bindemittels in der Mitte des Vliesstoffes eintritt, so dass nach einer chemischen Reinigung bzw. Kochwäsche die verarbeiteten Vliesstoffe im gespaltenen Zustand anzutreffen sind.
Ziel der Erfindung ist die Beseitigung der oben geschilderten Nachteile. Das entsprechende Verfahren zum Herstellen von Vliesstoffen durch Imprägnieren eines Faservlieses mit einer Emulsion oder Dispersion eines Bindemittels und anschliessender üblicher Trocknung und Kalandrierung des Zwischenproduktes bei Temperaturen zwischen 50 und 1500 bei Liniendrücke über 20 kg/cm ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die verwendeten Emulsionen oder Dispersionen einen Feststoffanteil von 5 bis 6% aufweisen.
Beispiel Ein Faservlies von 28 g/mz Gewicht, bestehend aus 50 Teilen Polyamid-Fasern 3, 0 den 40 mm und 50 Teile Zellulose-Fasern 2,3 den 40 mm wird mit folgender Mischung imprägniert

Während des Trockenvorganges tritt eine starke Migration des Bindemittels ein. Anschliessend wird das Zwischenprodukt bei einer Temperatur von 1500 und einem Liniendruck von 50 kg/cm kalandriert.
Man erhält ein sehr weiches, geschmeidiges Material.
Die verwendeten Bindemittelflottenkonzentrationen betragen in diesem Falle etwa 5 - 60/0. Wird das gleiche Material mit einer Dispersion mit einem Feststofigehalt von 15% unter sonst gleichen Bedingungen imprägniert, so erhält man ein deutlich härteres Produkt.
