7 bzw. 8 in Verbindung.
EMI2.2

housing B is pivotably mounted. The other arm EI of the control lever ends in an eye e2, in the bore of which the pin of a cylindrical stone F is mounted. This engages in the cam groove gl of a control disk <? Which sits on the control shaft H of the machine. The control disk G is connected by suitable means (not shown) on the one hand to the control shaft H and on the other hand to a stationary part of the machine in such a way that it can be coupled to one or the other of these parts during operation and accordingly either to the rotation of the shaft H participates or stands still.
It is divided into four quadrants 7-77, II-III, III-IV, 1 V-I on the drawing. The curve groove runs in the last two quadrants mentioned lion-centric to the control shaft H, while the part of the groove in quadrants I-II is curved, while the part in quadrants II-III is curved.
The bore J of the housing B is through openings 3, 4 and 5 with annular chambers 6 boxw. 7 or 8 in connection. The bore of a nozzle b2 to which the compressed air line J is connected opens into the annular space 6. The annular space 7 communicates through a duct 9 with a duct cl leading to the front cylinder side, the annular space 8 communicating through a duct 10 with a duct c2 of the working cylinder leading towards the rear cylinder side.
Since the control shaft H is set in rotation in the usual way from the crankshaft in a transmission ratio of 2: 1, every half rotation of the crankshaft respectively corresponds to. every stroke of the working piston a quarter threat of the control disk.
In the central position of the slide A shown in Fig. 1, the annular space 2 is in connection with the compressed air line J. The openings 4 and 5, however, are respectively through the sealing surfaces a1. a2 of the slide A covered so that the compressed air from the annular space 2 cannot reach either of the two cylinder sides. The slide A maintains this central position as long as the stone F is in engagement with any point of the part III-IV-I of the curve groove concentric to the control shaft. If the Stcuerscheibo G rotates together with the control shaft II in the direction of the arrow z (Fig. 1), so
EMI2.2
the slide A moves downwards.
If the most bent point of the curved groove reaches the stone F, the control slide assumes the position shown in FIG. 2, in which only the openings 5 are covered, while the openings 3 and 4 are connected to one another by the annular space 2 . As a result, the compressed air can pass from the annular space 2 through the openings 4 into the annular space 7 and from there flow through the channels 9 and cl to the front side of the cylinder (period I-II of the diagram = when the control disk is rotated further, the slide A reverses its direction of movement , the surface a1 closing off the openings 4. When the point 11 of the cam groove has reached the stone F, the slide assumes the position shown in FIG.
If the curved part 11-111 of the curved groove now reaches the stone F, the slide A moves upwards and releases the openings 5. If the most bent point of the cam groove has reached the stone F, the slide takes the

can flow to the rear cylinder side (period 11-111 of diagram X2).
In the further course of the rotation of the Stouerschoibe, the slide A reverses its direction of movement again, the surface a2 closing the openings 5. From point 777 of the cam groove on, the slide again assumes the central position shown in FIG. 1 and remains in it while the control disk executes half a revolution.
The ILR- periods fall into this time. IV and IV-I of diagrams XI and X2. At point 1 of the curve groove, the slide begins to play anew.
The filling of the front cylinder side with compressed air takes place accordingly in the period 7-77; the compressed air line is closed for the front cylinder side in periods II to 111, IIl-1F and 7F-I. The rear cylinder side is filled with compressed air in period II-III and the compressed air line is closed in the other periods. Since now the work process after completion of the compressed air line

In order to leave out such a machine, the connection of the curves is first. disc made with the control shaft. The cam disk is then brought into such a position by turning the flywheel that the block F engages with parts I-II of the cam disk and the compressed air can flow to the front side of the cylinder. From this moment on, the machine is driven automatically by the compressed air. When switching to explosion mode, the connection of the cam disc

The cam disk is then brought into such a position and held firmly in a suitable manner in which the stone F is in engagement with any point of the part of the cam groove gl which is concentric to the control shaft, so that the compressed air is closed by the slide A (slide position after Fig. 1) After opening the gas and air lines of the inlet valve intended for explosion operation and after switching on the ignition device, the machine then continues to operate as an explosive power machine.
