Greiferschützen-Webmaschine
Das diesbezügliche Bewegungsende der Hebel darf also keiner Veränderung unterliegen, was Bowdenzüge keineswegs gewährleisten.

Rapier shuttle loom
The invention relates to a rapier weaving machine with a thread guide which can be adjusted in the weft direction together with the drive and housing and which presents the weft thread required in each case to the shooter.
Looms of this type, especially those with weft insertion on both sides, have a constant weaving width. You can vary the same by changing the chain width, but this can only be achieved within very narrow limits, especially when forming fixed strips.
The known machines are colored loom machines. The housing thus carries several thread guides and these are pivotably arranged on a lever mounted in the housing. A Bowden cable is connected to each of these levers, so that the levers can be adjusted via their Bowden cable by means of a sample device. The end of the Bowden cables connected to the levers, the levers themselves and their thread guides are connected to the housing in such a way that, when the housing is adjusted in the weft direction, all of the parts mentioned take part in this movement. In the case of large adjustment paths of the housing, such as those required, for example, to change the weaving width, the associated bending of the Bowden cables can be a disadvantage.
Furthermore, especially with rapier weaving machines, it is often crucial that at least the point of use of the thread guide in the operating position is always exactly one and the same. The relevant end of movement of the lever must therefore not be subject to any change, which Bowden cables in no way guarantee. To remedy these disadvantages is the purpose of the invention.
According to the invention, the set goal is achieved by a drive shaft extending in the weft direction, penetrating the housing and axially immovable on the loom frame, on which a drive shaft is coupled to the shaft for actuation of the thread guide, but axially adjustable on this shaft and rotatable in the housing. but there is a cam plate mounted secured against axial movement.
Furthermore, according to the invention, with weft insertion on both sides, there is a common drive shaft for the thread guides on both sides of the machine, which makes two rotations for one rotation of the main shaft.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention on a rapier weaving machine with weft insertion on both sides. 1 shows a weft thread guide with its engaging and disengaging means, partially broken away in a side view, and FIG. 2 shows the engaging and disengaging means of both machine sides, also partially broken away, viewed from above.
On each side of the machine there are two or more weft thread guides 1, which are provided with an eye 2 for guiding their weft thread and are pivotably mounted at 3. These weft guides 1 have the shape of double levers. The eye 2 is provided on one arm of the same, and a plate 4 engages on the other arm and can be adjusted by means of a pattern device, not shown. The connection of the boards 4 with the pattern device is done by a strand 5 each. To operate the

Weft guide 1 in the direction of engagement and disengagement is supported by a roller lever 7 at 6 on each side of the machine. These levers each work together with a lifting disc 8 and are used to move a knife
9, which cooperates with the boards 4.
If a sinker 4 is brought into the position shown in FIG. 1, it is lifted from the relevant lifting disk 8 by means of the knife 9, which entails the pivoting of the relevant weft thread guide 1 into the operating position. A spring 10 is used to hold the roller lever 7 on their lifting disk 8. The bearings 3 and 6 are each located in a housing 11 or 11a. These housings are attached to the usual chest connector 12 so that they can be adjusted in the weft direction and can be adjusted to the respective position of the longitudinal edges of the fabric when the weaving width is changed. Screws 13 are used to fix after setting. These screws 13 reach through elongated holes 14 of the housing 11, l1a for this purpose. The lifting disks 8 of the two machine sides are arranged on a respective bush 15.
By means of feather keys 16, the sleeves 15 are rotatably connected to a common drive shaft 17 extending in the firing direction, but at the same time axially displaceable. Rolling bearings 18 are used for the rotatable mounting of the bushes 15 in a cover 19 of the housing 11, 11a. The bushes 15 are secured against axial movement on their housings 11, 11a by means of locking rings 20, 21.
When the housings 11, 11a are adjusted, the weft thread guides 1, the roller levers 7 and also the lifting disks 8 therefore take part in this movement. The lifting disks 8 are arranged offset from one another by 1800, for which purpose the feather keys 16 have the arrangement shown in FIG.
The invention can of course also be used in machines which have only one weft thread guide 1 on each side, which then simply work alternately. In this case, the pattern device is omitted and the weft thread guides 1 are to be connected directly to the roller levers 7. The invention is also suitable for rapier loom weaving machines in which the weft is only inserted from one side.
