<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Fig. 2 eine Teilansicht des Grundaufbaues der Kontakt- und Steckereinheit.
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Programming device for electronic systems
EMI1.1

Fall out have an annular groove that z. B. snap into a snap ring fastened in the connector unit. In addition, there is also a behind the hole in the breadboard for locking
Plastic segment used that snaps into the groove of the connector. In order to improve the contact between the contact elements of the programming device, contact plugs and contact springs are known which brush or wipe against each other along a certain distance during the plugging process (so-called wiping contact). These contacts have the disadvantage that they only produce electrical contact at one point.
To improve this property, it is finally known that the spring section of the contact member has a bead-shaped or rib-shaped contact track, which is directed in the longitudinal direction of the spring section at an angle to its bending axis and at least at its end part first coming into contact with the contact pin an additional inclination in relation on the
Has the turning direction of the spring section. To lock the connector in the connector unit, in addition to a groove in the connector, an electrically non-conductive locking connector is provided, which engages in the groove perpendicular to the direction of insertion.
With all programming devices. it is particularly important to ensure that they, including the contact elements attached to them, represent a consuctively closed part of the system. The object of the invention is to create a programming device that combines the advantages of an exchangeable plug unit and its light weight with high contact reliability and dimensional stability against the effects of temperature and moisture and also ensures that the individual contact elements are shielded from one another, resulting in leakage currents that ultimately never occur are to be avoided completely, diverted to ground and capacitive coupling between neighboring contacts is excluded.
Another object of the invention is to protect the contact elements on the permanently installed contact unit against damage, contact and dirt and to lock the set computing program in the machine so that the plugs of the connecting cords within the programming device after the plug unit has been inserted into the system Accidentally or deliberately, they cannot be pulled or reinserted.
The object is achieved in that, according to the invention, a protective plate with recesses is arranged between the permanently installed contact unit and the replaceable plug unit, into which the plugs of the plug unit engage after the system has been programmed. For this purpose, according to the invention, the plugs are provided with a notch which consists of a conical taper and a subsequent sudden expansion of the plug diameter in the plug-in direction. After the connector unit has been inserted and pressed against the contact unit, the connector unit is displaced using a lever mechanism common in technology and engages in the connector.
Furthermore, the carrier plate of the exchangeable connector unit and the carrier plate of the permanently installed contact unit are made of a grid consisting of metal strips that are mechanically and positively connected by means of a metal adhesive, optionally with the addition of fillers. The chambers of the carrier plate of the plug unit formed by the metal strips are provided with recesses, via which metal spring wires are attached in recesses in the metal strips on the side facing the contact unit. The metal spring wires are resiliently movable within the rectangles formed.
The plugs snap into these metal spring wires, which are inserted into the carrier plate of the replaceable plug unit during programming.
EMI2.1
with their outer contact jacket, in which there is a groove known per se. The connection to earth is thus secured by making contact at two points. The metal spring wires are connected to the metal strips and these are electrically conductively connected to one another. The metal strips of the carrier plate of the contact unit are widened to form shielding chambers in the direction of the protective plate. In the squares and shielding chambers of the contact unit formed by the metal strips, contact sleeves known per se are arranged, which are provided with solder connections known per se in the direction of the system and with contact springs in the direction of the plug unit.
The contact springs have a resilient end inclined to the plug-in direction of the contact elements of the plug, which is slotted in a V-shape in order to establish a secure electrical contact, which is elastically mounted at two points, and the contact-making points of the plug and the contact springs through the sliding movement during contact to clean.
In the structural design according to the invention, programming board and plug have very small mechanical dimensions, despite the elimination of the disadvantages of known designs, so that the entire programming unit is light in weight and therefore easy to use.
Due to the structural design and the use of shielded flexible connecting cords, which have a sufficiently high insulation resistance against the ground lines and whose shielding
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The solution of the task is improved or completed by means of reliable contact with the ground potential and the high tensile stress between cable and connector. A further technical advance of the invention can be seen in a favorable production technology for the carrier plates. Among other things, it is avoided that the carrier plates of the plug unit and the contact unit receive stresses that cause the flat surfaces to warp during machining.
Given the high number of contacts and the small dimensions, this deformation can cause such large deviations in the tolerances that the module can no longer be used. Technical progress is increased by the advantage that when using plastics such as B. on the basis of epoxy resins, the holes in the plug by frequent plugging and
Pull are only subject to the slightest wear. The previously known devices, as a rule
Use all-metal plates, must be made of aluminum for reasons of weight and are therefore subject to great wear and tear.
The invention ensures that when the plug unit is removed, the contact elements of the contact unit are secured against damage, contact and dirt by the protective plate.
After programming has been completed, the connector unit is inserted into the system and its contacts are connected to the corresponding counter-contacts, which cause the two units to be shifted relative to one another. This automatically locks the program. This means that the computer system is available to solve the task immediately after the program selected on the connector unit has been inserted. Downtimes of several hours for the entire system, which are often the case with non-replaceable programming panels, especially with electronic calculating machines, are eliminated.
The calculation accuracy is not influenced by the increased number of contacts due to the low susceptibility to interference, and the quality of the system corresponds to that of a modern system with a fixed programming field due to the planned design measures.
The subject matter of the invention is to be described in more detail using an exemplary embodiment which shows an expedient embodiment of the invention and using the drawing. In the drawing: FIG. 1 shows a partial view of a stamped metal strip which serves as the contact and plug unit. Fig. 2 is a partial view of the basic structure of the contact and plug unit.
3 shows a section through the programming device according to the invention using the example of a plug connection. 4 shows a front view of a particularly favorable embodiment of the contact spring from the contact unit with the plug contact inserted.
As shown in FIG. 2, a grid is produced which consists of metal strips 1 which are punched in the manner of a comb and which can be plugged together with the aid of the recesses 2. In addition to the cutouts 2, the metal strips 1 have further cutouts 3, as can be seen particularly clearly in FIG. The grids can be produced in any desired square or rectangular size, which is only determined by the number of contact connections required in a system. The meshes of the assembled grid are then filled up to a certain height with a metal adhesive 17, which has good mechanical and insulating properties and can possibly be provided with a filler, such as. B. epoxy resin.
This type of construction only requires simple technological effort, which is available at any time and allows the advantages of cast resin technology to come into its own.
As a filler, electrically less valuable insulating materials can be used, since the insulation resistance in the embodiment according to the invention is only between signal line and ground, but not between two signal lines, and therefore no high requirements need to be made. Only good mechanical strength and low wear are required of the casting compound.
These properties have z. B. all epoxy resins; they also have the advantage that they are processed in a thin-bodied state and do not have to be pressed into the grid by high-pressure pressing like other solid substances. The filled grid represents the foundation of the entire programmer device and primarily determines the high mechanical stability of both the contact unit and the plug unit. Warping of the units as a result of temperature influences is largely excluded due to the way they are manufactured. Furthermore, the grid prevents any leakage currents between the individual contact points, since each contact is separated from the others by the metal grid boxes connected to earth. The grid also acts as a shield for the individual contact points arranged above and below one another.
The connector unit will first be described in more detail below.
Holes 4 are drilled into the filling 17 of the grid and serve to accommodate the plug 5. The holes 4 can also be obtained when the grid is poured with a corresponding molding tool
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
the. On the back of the grid 3 metal spring wires 6 are inserted into the recesses, which are clamped by upsetting the edges 7 of the recesses 3. At the same time, the electrical contact between metal strips 1 and metal springs 6 is thereby established. By means of a locking groove 8 in the external contact of the plug 5, the shielding of the plug is connected to the zero potential via the metal spring wires 6 and the plug is also secured against falling out of the plug unit.
By plugging and unplugging the connector during programming, the contact surfaces are always self-cleaning, thus guaranteeing good contact at all times.
When the plug 5 is inserted into the recess 4, the metal spring wires 6 are pressed apart by a cone 9 which is incorporated into the external contact of the plug 5. This cone 9 forms one flank of a groove 10 which is triangular in cross section and the second flank of which extends radially.
The front termination of the plug 5 is formed by a cylindrical shape chamfered on the front face
Approach 11 is formed, the rear end face of which represents one surface of the groove 10.
After the connector unit has been programmed and inserted into the system, it is raised by a lever mechanism to make contact between the connector 5 and the mating contacts 15, whereby the connector 5 is raised by means of a protective plate. 12 are locked in that the plate 12 engages in the notches 10 of the plug 5. The plug unit is inserted into a suitable frame, which is located in front of the contact unit of the system, pressed against the contact plate, thereby locked into place and lifted by the lever mechanism mentioned.
The second main part of the invention, the contact unit, corresponds in its basic structure to the plug unit. The contact unit is permanently installed in the system. Instead of the holes 4, contact sleeves 13 are provided in the potting compound 17 ′, which carry solder connections 14 inward and the contact springs 15 in the direction of the plug unit. The metal strips 1 for the contact unit are wider than those of the plug unit, and the grid meshes are only filled up to a fraction of the strip width, so that the parts of the plug connection located between the two plates are capacitively decoupled from one another by the chamber formed by the metal strips, as is the case is shown in FIG. In front of the contact unit, the plate 12 is arranged, which locks the plug 5 in the manner already described.
This plate 12 is provided with a recess in front of each contact chamber, through which the contact pins 16 of the plug 5 are inserted in the unlocked state without touching the contact spring 15. The contact between pin 16 and spring 15 only takes place, as has already been described, when the connector unit is lifted, whereby locking takes place at the same time. If the connector unit is removed, the plate 12 protects the contact springs 15 from mechanical damage.
A particularly favorable design of the contact spring is shown in FIG. 4. The contact spring 15 is slotted in a V-shape on its front side, so that contact is made at two points, as is illustrated in FIG. 4.
When contact is made by lifting the connector plate, the contact spring 15 is also raised by the contact pin 16 against its spring force. Due to the structural design of the contact spring 15, a sliding movement occurs at the same time as it is lifted when making contact, so that self-cleaning of the contact surfaces is guaranteed.
Due to the inclination of the contact spring and the special shape, damage when making contact by lifting the contact pin is excluded.
