Zweibacken-Endbundklemme
Fig. 1 und 2.

Two-jaw end collar clamp
There are known end collar clamps with two massive jaws that can be clamped by stud bolts, on the protruding bolt ends of which an additional, relatively thin-walled clamping jaw sits, which is adjustable by means of nuts screwed onto the bolt ends and clamps a branch conductor located between it and the one solid jaw.
The invention has an end collar clamp which can be clamped by bolts and has two massive ones
Jaws on the subject, which differs from the known designs in that the aforementioned solid jaw and the additional thin-walled jaw on the sides facing each other
Have stiffening webs in which grooves receiving the branch conductor are recessed. A further feature is that the webs formed on the solid jaw or on the thin-walled jaw encompass the bolt holes and a third characteristic is that the webs or branch conductor grooves run approximately diagonally to the jaws.
The aim of the invention is to provide a replacement for the previously used solid jaws in such clamps, which is achieved in that the grooves for the conductors also extend to the bottom of the
Jaw are guided so that the delimitation webs to a certain extent form a frame that can extend not only to the groove, but also to the screw holes. In this way it is achieved that, on the one hand, significant material savings are made in such clamps and, on the other hand, the strength of the
Get a clamp and ultimately a very low overall height is achieved.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the two-jaw end collar clamp according to the invention are shown. They show: FIG. 1 the clamp in the assembled state, FIG. 2 an end view of the clamp,
3 shows a side view of the clamp, FIG. 4 shows the lower jaw of the end collar clamp in a bottom view, FIG. 5 shows an additional clamping jaw for the branch conductor in a top view, and FIG. 6 shows another lower jaw of the end collar clamp in a bottom view.
With 1 the lower jaw and with 2 the upper jaw, z. B. an end collar, referred to. These jaws are made of copper or tempered aluminum in a manner known per se and are provided with conductor grooves 3 and 4 for the main conductor 5, which, in the case of an end collar clamp, encompasses the insulator 6, see FIG. Figs. 1 and 2.
As FIG. 3 shows, an additional clamping jaw 8 is provided for the branch conductor 7, which is pushed onto the ends of the bolts 9 of the end collar clamp and is clamped here by means of nuts. This clamping jaw 8 has, on its surface facing the branch conductor 7, two webs 10 which receive the lower branch conductor groove 11, branch off from the jaw upward and consist of one piece with the latter, which in particular FIG. 5 clearly shows. As a result of these webs, the jaw can be designed with relatively thin walls and still have the necessary rigidity.
On the surface of the lower jaw 1 facing the branch conductor 7, the same webs 12, which receive the upper branch conductor groove 13, are present. As can be seen from FIG. 4, here the webs are designed as eyes 12 'which encompass the threaded holes 14 of the stud bolts. When using the aforementioned webs 12, the lower jaw 1 can also be thinner-walled than usual, so that this also enables savings in material and weight. It should also be mentioned that the eyes 12 ′ can be given a height such that the jaw thread for the stud screws is long enough to achieve a perfect clamping effect.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
6 shows the lower jaw 1 with a branch conductor groove 13 running approximately diagonally to the jaw, otherwise with webs 12 and eyes 12 ', similar to those in FIG. 4. Such an embodiment results in a larger contact surface for the branch conductor. Of course, in this case the branch ladder groove 11 in the jaw 8 must run in the same way.
Often the main conductor is made of aluminum or has an aluminum jacket while
EMI2.1
Aluminum, while the jaw 8 is made of copper. So that there is no direct contact leading to corrosion between the copper branch conductor and the aluminum jaw 1, a sheet metal strip is pressed into the branch conductor groove 13 of the lower jaw 1 in a manner known per se.
It should be mentioned that webs 10 can also be arranged on jaws of other clamp types.
