<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Method of transporting still plastic
Aerated concrete blocks
The invention relates to a method for transporting aerated concrete blocks produced in a dismountable casting mold, still plastic and sensitive to the effects of local pressure, by means of a lifting device and using mold parts. In the manufacture of aerated concrete components, e.g. B. Plates. a larger mass block is first made, which is still plastic
Condition on a cutting machine into components, e.g. B. Plaiten. is cut up.
In this case, it is necessary to lift the mass block produced by casting in a mold in a still plastic state and to transport it onto the table of a cutting machine. For this purpose, it has been proposed to use the casting mold box for the lifting transport of the mass block, which for this purpose consists of the mold frame or the four side walls and bottom strips or bottom corners attached to the inside of the same, on which the mass block is supported. However, these baseboards only provide insufficient support for the very sensitive plastic mass block, so that there is a risk of cracks forming, especially when the mass blocks are larger.
The arrangement of the bottom strips on the mold frame, which form part of the bottom of the mold, makes the special design of the bottom of the mold and also of the cutting machine table necessary.
This formation of the molding box and bottom of the mold makes it more difficult to seal the mold, as does the necessary cleaning of the mold due to the formation of corners. The same applies to the machine table. In addition, during this stroke transport of the mass block with the molding box, it must be taken apart on the machine table. This is not only cumbersome, but also brings with it the risk of damaging the ground block because the side walls of the molding box have to be lifted off the ground block in the horizontal direction with consideration for the bottom strips.
The deficiencies of the lifting transport of mass blocks described above are eliminated by the invention. In the method according to the invention, of the parts of the dismountable casting mold delimiting the cuboid-like block, only the longitudinal side walls of the mold, which are flat on their inside, are left on the block for transport and are gripped by clamping rails of a pliers-like lifting device known per se in such a way that to avoid a bulge the free base areas of the block during transport where the clamping rails engage in the area of the lower half of the mold side walls that expediently diverge slightly upwards.
The details and advantages of this new method are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which contains an exemplary embodiment.
It shows: FIG. 1 the front view of a tong-like lifting device with a ground block, FIG. 2 the associated side view and FIG. 3 details of the lifting device of FIG.
In the drawing, 1 denotes an aerated concrete block which, for example, can have a length of 6 m, a width of 2 m and a height of approximately 0.5 m. This rectangular block is produced in a mold that can be dismantled. For lifting transport of this block in the plastic state, according to the invention, only the longitudinal side walls 2, which are flat on their inside, are left on the block 1 of the dismountable casting mold and these are grasped by clamping rails 8 of a known, pliers-like lifting device in such a way that the attack of the clamping rails or their pressing forces P in the area
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the lower half of the mold side walls 2 lie.
- The engagement of the clamping rails in the lower area of the aerated concrete block avoids bulging of the free base area of the block during transport and thus the formation of cracks.
This pressing action of the clamping rails, which prevents bulging, can be further increased in that the side walls 2 of the casting mold diverge slightly upwards, as illustrated in FIG. 1. The clamping forces P then act on an aerated concrete block, the cross-section of which tapers slightly in a wedge shape downwards. The lower width of the block can only be a few millimeters smaller than the upper width of the same. In the case of a lifting transport with such a tapered aerated concrete block, the pressing force P can accordingly be reduced accordingly.
As can be seen from the drawing, in particular FIG. 3, the engagement of the clamping rails 3 or the forces P takes place at a height h which is approximately a third to a quarter of the total height H of the block 1.
The plastic block 1 is slightly compressed by the pressing forces P. This deformation, which is only a few millimeters, only affects the lateral edge zones of the block and is harmless, since these edge zones are cut off when the block is subsequently divided into components.
The use of the longitudinal mold walls 2 as press plates during lifting transport has the advantage that the adhesion generated between this and the mold walls 2 when the block is poured has a beneficial effect in that the adhesion forces support the frictional forces generated by the pressure P.
It should also be taken into account that reinforcing iron is often inserted into the ground block 1, so that it is necessary to center this ground block exactly when it is placed on the machine table so that the panels can then be cut precisely. Such exact centering is only possible if the longitudinal walls 2 of the casting mold remain on the mass block and these longitudinal walls are then used for centering on the machine table.
To carry out the new method, a lifting device is used in the embodiment shown, which is formed from the two aforementioned mold side walls 2, which extend over the entire length and approximately the entire height of the mass block, and one or more lifting pliers. These lifting tongs each consist of a crosshead 3, two clamping levers 5 pivotably mounted at 4 at its ends, and a drive device with which these clamping levers are pivoted in direction A and pressed against the press plates 2. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the clamping levers 5 are designed with two arms, and two hydraulic cylinders 6 are arranged on the crosshead 3, the pressure pistons 7 of which engage the upper lever arms 5a of the clamping lever 5.
With these hydraulic pressure cylinders, considerable clamping forces P can be exerted on the side walls 2 with each lifting pliers, which for example with the aforementioned size of an aerated concrete block 1 can amount to about 2000 kg.
EMI2.1
Direct ends of the clamping levers 5 each horizontal clamping rails 8 are arranged. In order to achieve the most uniform possible transmission of these forces, a terminal strip 9 made of elastic material, for. B. rubber of appropriate hardness arranged.
In the case of a greater length of the mass block, several lifting tongs are provided, as shown, with a common lifting support 10 being arranged which connects or carries the crossheads 3 of the individual lifting tongs. Eyes 11 are provided on the carrier 10 for attack by a lifting element (chain or rope).
As shown in the drawing, each mold side wall 2 is reinforced by a strip 12 extending over the entire length of the side wall, the clamping rails 8 of the lifting pliers engaging these reinforcing strips 12. These strips 12 are advantageously tapered downward in a wedge shape in cross section. When the clamping rails 8 are pressed against this wedge-shaped bar, a safe lifting is ensured and a jerky sliding of the mass block with the side walls 2 downwards is prevented, so that a jerky lifting, which endangers the mass block and possibly causes cracking, is avoided.
After the above-described lifting of the porous clay block and placing it on the table of a cutting machine, the side walls 2 must be removed. For this purpose, according to the invention, a downwardly open angle rail 13 is provided on each longitudinal wall wall of the mold at its upper edge and on the outside, into which lifting hooks 14, which are arranged on the lifting tongs 5, engage with greater play from below during lifting transport.
Fig. 1 and 3 shows this arrangement during the lifting process. As soon as the ground block is on the

is removed from the machine, the pressing forces P are eliminated, d. H. the clamping levers 5 are pivoted slightly against the direction of arrow A, then the lifting device is raised. The clamping rails 13 lie against the hooks 14 of the clamping arms, so that with this process the mold walls 2 are lifted off the block 1 and removed.

kes. Such a block of lesser height is indicated in FIG. 3 at 1 '. In this case, spacer timbers 15 or the like are arranged between the two longitudinal walls 2 at the top, which take up the pressure of the walls 2 in the upper area. In this way, even a block of smaller height can be lifted and transported without any damage.
The invention is not restricted to the use of the lifting device described above. The method according to the invention can also be carried out with other pincer-like lifting devices.
