Main and emergency coupling for railway vehicles to be operated from the long side of the car.
The subject of the present invention is an Eisonbahn wagon coupling to be operated from the longitudinal side of the wagons, in which the coupling chain is withdrawn at the same time as it is lifted, is moved past the hook of the opposite wagon and is only inserted into the hook after it has been pushed forward and which carries an emergency hook that falls into the coupling loop of the wagon.
The invention is illustrated in four figures: Fig. 1 shows a side view of the
EMI1.1
Section through rails o and hooks.
The Zughakon a merges into the pull rod b, which is provided with a thread at its end and which is connected to a shaft by means of a nut lock d firmly connected to the carriage, which carries a worm wheel c that can be controlled by means of a worm shaft f and a worm e on it. A life brings about through means
EMI1.2
When the main coupling is swiveled in, hook l is lifted by the tabs M located on the rails i, and this is done by means of the guide pins q, which are attached to two displaceable rails o guided in the emergency hook.
The
EMI1.3
Hook I lies. The coupling loop t0, like the coupling members r and s, is kept stretched by the lappeu z when it is lifted.
The coupling of two vehicles is done in the following way: The WeHe h is set in rotation by means of an attached lever, whereby
EMI1.4
As a result, when the rails i continue to be swiveled up, the emergency hook does not remain in its rest position, but is pushed forward by the tabs m, which prevent the hook from falling backwards, until the main coupling eye, which as
EMI1.5
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
move, are guided by guide clamps and connected to each other by the cross rail p resting at the front above the hook head. So the rails can only go so far
EMI2.1
constantly limited.
If, as already mentioned, the emergency hook is now lifted up by swiveling the main coupling up through the rails i and the tabs m attached to them until the coupling eye of the main coupling is in the hook, then the emergency hook (see right Fig. 1 ) has reached its greatest inclination.
The coupling of the main coupling is thus finished and the connection of the emergency coupling can now be carried out. The opposite main clutch is there
EMI2.2
swiveled until the front coupling eye t hits the hook head of the emergency coupling against the transverse rod; 'protruding from the side.
If the swiveling up of the emergency coupling is continued, the coupling pushes

rose, the pins q slide upwards until they have reached the limit of the slots in which they move. As a result of the change in the center of gravity of the hook, the pins q simultaneously glide upwards on the doges of the lobes tn, i.e. H. the nothaleen will try to fall back into its center of gravity due to the upward pressure exerted against the crossbar until the pins q are relieved and the hooks have collapsed into the coupling eye.
Then the lever h, which causes the rigidity of the coupling members, is released and the coupling members will fall back into their center of gravity; As a result, the Nothakeu is torn back again, the pins, which had reached the height of the tabs, slide back over the arch of the tabs and sink back into the slots until they rest on the rails i as before and until the cross bar p at the same time over the hook head.
With this, the falling back coupling links would also have reached their center of gravity and the coupling would have ended.
