Thermally insulating wall closure for cold rooms
The invention relates to the heat-insulating wall closure of cold rooms with a door leaf which is pivotably arranged on a door frame.
The basic requirement for the formation of cold rooms is a high-quality seal and insulation from the outside and thus from the environment of the cold room. The solution to this problem only offers unresolved problems in the area of the openings in the cold room, as the insulation of the cold room walls, which are predominantly made of masonry, by means of heat-insulating layers of appropriate thickness between the tiling mostly inside the cold room and the masonry meet the respective requirements must be trained accordingly.
The previously used wall closures for refrigerated rooms are generally wooden constructions which, due to the properties of the material used, only meet the high demands to a very limited extent in terms of dimensional stability and resistance to aging. The thickness of the doors made of wood, which is necessary because of the required thermal insulation effect, results in high weights and thus high costs; In view of the limited service life due to the swelling and warping of the components, such doors also represent an inefficient use of the material used.
The cladding of the wooden parts with sheet metal, which has already been considered in this context, does not significantly reduce the deficiencies shown and, on the contrary, brings with it further difficulties, as it causes a shortening of the service life of the basic building material used for thermal insulation due to rot. In addition, in the known types of wall closures with metallic outer parts, the metal parts act as a thermally conductive connection between the environment of the cooling space and its interior, which, apart from the impairment of the cooling performance, has adverse effects on the sealing of the cooling space.
The elimination of the last-mentioned defect, the formation of thermal bridges between the outside of the wall closures and the inside of the cold room, in the case of a wall closure that is not geared towards the use of wood as thermal insulation and basic building material, is the subject of the invention. Their basic idea is that both the door leaf and the door frame each consist of several metallic parts separated from one another by layers of heat-insulating material, through which the cold room can be tightly sealed while avoiding thermal bridges connecting the outside of the wall with the inside of the cold room is. The use of metallic parts ensures great durability and constant, precise interaction between the door leaf and the door frame.
The avoidance of thermal bridges between the parts of the wall closure that are exposed to the outside temperature and the parts of the wall closure reaching into the interior of the cold room makes the wall closure according to the invention far superior to the known wall closures with regard to the thermal insulation effect.
In an embodiment of the above basic concept of the invention, the door leaf can consist of a plate-shaped outer part with a frame which may be used to hold the door hinges, locks or the like and a flat insulating part attached to the outer part on the side of the cooling space, and the outer part and the insulating part each have a metallic outer skin, the outer skin of the outer part being separated from that of the insulating part by a heat-insulating intermediate layer, preferably made of plastic or rubber, which separates the door leaf from the door frame in the closed position.

On the outside of the cooling space lying cover plate 17, which is separated from the frame 12 by a heat-insulating intermediate layer 27, is provided with a fold 18, which extends into the joint between the masonry 21 and the insulating layer 20 and at the same time as a plastering and tiling frame for the Wall cladding arranged on the outside of the refrigerator is used.
Because this cover plate extends over the width of the insulating layer of the cold room wall, there is also a continuous shielding of the interior space on the door side of the cold room, which is practical

B. Wall opening in front and carries on the side facing the door leaf the sealing strip 26, on which the insulation part 3 of the door leaf rests in the closed position.
The direct metallic contact between the parts of the wall closure is thus interrupted by the lip 11 of the intermediate layer 10 and by the sealing strip 26 at two points separated from one another at a distance and by an air gap; In addition, the individual metal parts of the door leaf and the door frame are separated from one another by layers of heat-insulating materials. A construction of the wall closure is thus achieved which also meets the greatest requirements in terms of avoiding thermal bridges and the durability of the insulation effect.
