Verfahren zur Herstellung von Phonographenkarten oder dgl.
Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Masse zum Aufbringen auf Papier, Karton und andere Stoffe, auf welcher man mittels eines Phonographen Töne fixieren kann und welche gestattet, letztere wieder hervorzurufen. Die Masse ist besonders anwendbar zur Herstellung von Phonogrammkarten und Postkarten. Die gravierte Karte wird, wenn gewünscht, mit der Post versandt und der Empfänger oder dgl. liest sie mittels eines Phonographen.
Die Masse wird ans Permanentweiss (Bariumsulfat), Zinkweiss (leichtes Zinkoxyd), einer speziellen Bohlner-bezw. Firnismasse, die ans mit Wasser in Gegenwart von Weinsteinsalz

Zur Herstellung der Masse wird das Permanontweiss, die Bohner-bezw. Firnismasso sowie das Zinkweiss mit dem Wasser gemischt und das Ganze so lange verrührt, bis man eine homogene Masse hat ; alsdann wird der auf dem Wasserbae gelöste Leim hinzugesetzt und die Mischung durch ein Sieb geführt. Von dieser Masse werden mittels Bürste auf die betreffende Unterlage (Papier, Karton oder dgl.) Schichten aufgebracht ; man lässt jedoch jede Schicht vor dem Aufbringen der nächsten trocknen.
Die so mit diesem Überzug be- deckte Karte oder Oberfläche wird entweder zwischen Metallplatten, z. B. aus Zink, gepresst oder man lässt sie zwischen Walzen hindurchgehen.
Die einzelnen wesentlichen Bestandteile der Masse können durch analoge chemische Verbindungen ersetzt werden. Jedoch ist es erforderlich, damit die erhaltene Masse die gewünschten Eigenschaften besitzt, dass sie alle angegebenen Körper bezw. deren Ersatzstoffe enthält. Das Bariumsulfat kann durch den einen oder mehrere der folgenden Körper ersetzt werden, und zwar durch Bleisulfat oder -karbonat oder durch gefälltes Kalziumsulfat, weniger wirksam durch Bariumkarbonat, gefälltes Strontiumsulfat oder-karbonat oder gefälltes Kalziumkarbonat. Das leichte Zinkoxyd kann durch gefälltes Zinkoxyd, -sulfid oder - karbonat, durch Kaolin, Talk, kalzinierte englische Magnesia, Magnesiumkarbonat oder gefällte Tonerde ersetzt werden.
An Stelle von Lederleim kann man Fischloim, Kleister, Dextrin, Gelatine anwenden, jedoch ist Lederleim vorzuziehen, da er dem Überzug mehr Geschmeidigkeit und Biegsamkeit gibt.
