Sargsenkapparat

Coffin apparatus
The invention relates to a coffin apparatus with a hydraulic brake device, comprising a cylinder and piston, for the lowering ropes running on a rectangular frame over pulleys.
The mechanical brakes most commonly used in coffin apparatus are, compared to hydraulic braking devices, exposed to wear and the effects of the weather, so that the braking effects often show unexpected irregularities, which should be prevented for reasons of piety. The brakes cannot be handled in a sufficiently inconspicuous manner either, since they always require readjustment.
However, coffin apparatuses with hydraulic braking devices that have already been proposed also show inadequacies in that a relatively long, slender liquid cylinder is provided on the longitudinal side of the frame, since the displacement path of the piston had to be at least half as long as the lowering height if the piston were to be longitudinally displaceable The tension element emerging from the cylinder is connected to the lowering ropes via deflection elements, while a correspondingly long circulation line with an adjustable feed element connects the two cylinder spaces, which is known by throttling the fluid circulation through this line from one cylinder space to the other by means of the Locking organ the coffin lowering can be braked in the desired manner according to the piston displacement made possible.
In practical use, however, such hydraulic brake devices have the disadvantage that the tension element located close to the ground and reaching into the cylinder through a seal is easily soiled because it is exposed to the weather and is often bent or otherwise damaged because of its large free length. As a result, the seal, which is already exposed to severe wear as a result of the large displacement path of the tension element, quickly leaks, so that the device operates unreliably and ultimately becomes unusable.
Furthermore, due to their length, as well as the deflection and transmission elements attached to the tension element, the cylinder and tension element prevent access to the grave on two or three sides of the same, which can interfere with the conduct of the burial ceremony and even lead to accidents.
The present invention seeks to avoid these disadvantages in that rope winding pulleys for the lowering ropes are attached to a threaded spindle rotatably mounted along one narrow side of the frame, on which a non-rotatably held threaded nut is axially displaceable due to the spindle rotation and with the displaceable part of the cylinder-piston unit is rigidly connected, with a switchable throttle element being provided in the flow path of the liquid transported by the relative movement between the cylinder and the piston, which throttle element determines the speed of the relative movement and thus of the spindle rotation.
The invention will then be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the accompanying drawing.
1 is a plan view of the frame of the coffin apparatus and FIG. 2 shows an axial vertical section through the braking device of the apparatus with parts in a front view.
The rectangular frame 1 of the coffin apparatus has a base plate 2 or 2 'on each of its narrow sides, which plates are connected to one another on the longitudinal side of the frame by two horizontal pipe rods 3 and 3' by inserting their ends into a sleeve 4 on each of the plates 2 or 2 'detachable

A rope deflection roller 6 or 6 ′, which can be pivoted about the axis of the bar by means of a sleeve 5 and over which rollers lowering ropes 7 and 7 ′ run to lower the coffin 8, are attached to these rods at two mutually opposite points. A housing 9 with a hydraulic braking device is mounted on the footplate 2, which in a lying cylinder 10 has a! has double-acting piston 11.
The cylinder 10 is traversed coaxially by a shaft 12, on the two end pegs of which protruding from the housing 9 a cable winding roller 13 or 13 ′ is fastened. are handled on the two of the lowering parts 7 or when lowering and wound up when retrieving.
The middle part of the shaft 12 consists of a threaded spindle 14 which, for. B. has a three-start trapezoidal thread and with which a non-rotatably held threaded nut 15 is in engagement, which forms part of the piston 11. The piston has two annular end plates 16 through which the shaft 12 traverses, each with a sealing ring 17 resting on the inner wall of the cylinder 10 and a sealing ring 18 each sealing the shaft passage. These end plates are each connected by means of a screwed spacer tube 19 or 19 '. rigidly connected to the threaded nut 15. A wedge head 20 attached to the threaded nut engages in an axial groove 21 in the cylinder wall 10 in order to prevent the threaded nut i from rotating with the spindle 14.
The cylinder 10 is closed off at both ends by a cylinder cover 22 or 221 and is fastened to the same on the base plate 2.
The hydraulic, fluid-filled system of the braking device comprises the two cylinder spaces 23 and 23 'each between the cylinder cover 22 and 22' and the one opposite it
Front plate 16 of piston 11 and a line 25 or 25 'each connecting these two spaces with a switch tap 24, which line is connected to the relevant cylinder cover. The switch tap 24 has a three-way plug 26 and is connected to the line 25 via two nozzles 27 and 28, with im

The plug 26 can be brought into three switching positions, namely in one
Stop position, in which the line 25 to the line 25 'is interrupted, in a throttle position in which the line 25 is connected to the line 25' via the connector 27 through the throttle orifice 29, and in a return position in which the line 25 is connected to the line 25 'via the connector 28, stops, not shown, being provided for the chick in order to prevent the chick from being switched over directly from the stop position to the return position.
In the standby state, the ends of the wire ropes 7 and 7 ', which are known to be provided with chain links, are coupled to one another in pairs by means of hooks and are taut when the wire ropes are wound on the rope pulleys 13 and 13'. In this state, the piston 11 is completely shifted to the right in FIG. The plug 26 of the switch tap 24 is in the stop position.
If the coffin 8 is set down on the chains, the wire rope puller exerts such a torque on the threaded spindle 14 that it tries to shift the threaded nut 15 with the piston 11 to the left in FIG. 2, but with the circulating line blocked 25, 25 ′, with a hydraulic pressure being generated in the cylinder space 23, which is maintained as a result of the closed switch tap and prevents the piston from being displaced and thus the coffin from being lowered.

If the switch tap is turned into the throttle position, pressure fluid reaches the cylinder chamber 19 via the line 25 through the aperture 29 in a throttled flow depending on the aperture opening
Line 25 'and the cylinder space 23', the piston 11 moving slowly to the left and thus allowing a corresponding rotation of the threaded spindle and the rope pulleys, so that the coffin is lowered by the hydraulic throttling.
The hook coupling of the wire rope ends is automatically released in a known manner when lying slack on the floor of the grave. To wind the wire ropes, the switch cock plug 26 is turned into the return position and the spindle shaft is turned back by means of a hand crank that can be attached to a square shaft end 31 in order to wind the wire ropes, the threaded nut with the piston moving from left to right and thereby liquid Conveys out of the cylinder space 23 'through the line 25', the connector 30, the plug 26, the connector 28 and the line 25 into the cylinder space 23.
The hydraulic medium preferably consists of oil, the viscosity and specific volume of which show little variability at the external temperatures that occur and which has good lubricating properties, since the cylinder cavity 32 between the piston end walls 16 is also filled with this liquid, not only to ensure good lubrication of the engagement of spindle and nut, but also to replace seepage losses in the hydraulic system. On the upper side of the cylinder 10, a refill nozzle 33 that can be closed to the outside is attached, which is fastened to the cylinder with a flange 34 that tightly covers the guide groove 21 and is connected to a liquid

level indicator 33 'is provided on which the liquid reserve present in the nozzle can be seen.
The spacer tubes 19 and 19 ′ have a few holes 35 for the passage of liquid.
To wind up the lowering ropes, at least one spiral spring could be arranged on the shaft 12, one end of which is attached to the circumference of the shaft and the other end to the cylinder wall 10, an axial section having to be provided for the passage through the spacer tube. This spiral spring would be tensioned by the rotation of the shaft when the lowering ropes were angled and would cause the opposite rotation to wind up the ropes after switching the switch tap to the return position. Fig. 2 shows how the spiral spring 36 can be arranged on the outside of a cylinder cover 22 '.
On at least one of the two footplates 2 and 2 two height-adjustable leveling feet 37 are attached, which are screwed into a threaded hole of the footplate with a pipe section provided with an external thread 38 and at their upper end z. B. are provided with a square head 39 or a polygonal hole in order to be rotated by means of a socket wrench and thereby adjusted in height for laying the frame 1 horizontally.
