Heizungsregelventil

Heating control valve
The invention relates to heating control valves with an actuating handle which is releasably connected to the valve spindle, the valve spindle having a shoulder which is connected to an opposite
Upper housing part height-adjustable part cooperates as a stop in the sense of the opening restriction, as they are used to throttle the flow of hot water or steam into the radiators in a central heating system depending on the location and size of the radiator more or less.
Heating control valves of this type have so far been produced in two different designs, with the valve body being of the same type, depending on whether it is a matter of heating in private households or in public buildings, especially schools and offices. In the former case, the heating should be able to be operated as required in order to meet changing needs; in heating systems in public buildings, especially schools, on the other hand, the valves are seldom used, e.g. B. opened at the beginning of the heating season and closed again at the end of the same. Such valves are only accessible with a key in the possession of the authorized person, e.g. B. the school attendant, is operable to prevent improper actuation of the valves.
For example, the end of the valve spindle is not provided with a handle but with a square hole or the like. Different valve designs had to be manufactured and kept in stock for these two types.
The invention provides a valve of the type mentioned at the outset which satisfies both requirements in the same way, with only a slight, easily feasible changeover being necessary if it is to be used in one way or another. This is achieved according to the invention in that a spacer sleeve is provided which can be plugged onto the valve spindle between the actuating handle in its fully open position and the height-adjustable part and completely blocks the rotation of the handle or the spindle in the plugged-on position.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
The drawing shows a vertical center section through such a valve. The upper housing part 2, which has a nut thread 3, is inserted into the lower housing part 1. In this the flat thread 4 of the valve spindle 5 is guided, at the lower end of which the valve body 6 is located. The upper part of the housing has an external thread 7, onto which a union nut 8 is screwed, which can be fixed in its selected position by a worm screw 9. On the upper end of the valve spindle 5, the actuating handle 10 provided with wings is placed, which has a metal sleeve 11 with a square bore with which the handle sits non-rotatably on a corresponding square pin 12 of the valve spindle. A head screw 13 holds the handle in the axial direction on the spindle.
The valve spindle 5 has a shoulder 14 which cooperates with the inside of the nut 8 as a stop. If the valve is used as a so-called authority valve, a spacer sleeve 15 is placed on the spindle between the nut 8 and the sleeve 11 of the handle.
If the valve is used for private purposes to operate the radiators, the spacer sleeve 15 is omitted. The valve can then be closed and opened by turning the handle 10, the opening path being limited by the shoulder 14 striking the nut 8. By appropriately adjusting the position of this limiting nut 8 on the upper valve part 2, the maximum value of the opening of the valve can therefore be changed.

If the valve is to remain open all the time as a so-called authority valve, the handle is removed and the spacer sleeve 15 is placed on the spindle 5, which completely fills the space between the limiting nut 8 and the inside of the necks 12, which has the effect of doing that Valve can no longer close, as is customary when used as a so-called authority valve.
It is clear that the shape of the individual valves used can be changed in various ways without departing from the scope of the invention.
