Einschlaglupe
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Folding magnifier
The subject of the invention is a folding magnifying glass which consists of a folding part containing a lens and a cover into which the folding part can be pivoted. Such magnifiers are already known. However, they have the disadvantage that their casing is made of opaque plastic, so that it is not possible to achieve several magnifications with such a magnifying glass.
In contrast, it is proposed according to the invention that the casing has two further lenses in the area of the pivoted-in lens. It can be particularly expedient if both lenses of the envelope are designed as planovex lenses. It is also advantageous from a manufacturing point of view if the impact part including the lens and the casing including the lenses are made of organic glass. According to another feature of the innovation, the shape of the base area of the shell is designed to correspond to that of the impact part. According to another embodiment of the invention, a projection is provided on the impact part and a notch is provided on the sheath. arranged, for locking the impact part in the pivoted position.
The advantage of the magnifying glass according to the invention is that three magnifications can be achieved without additional effort compared to the known folding magnifiers; one enlargement is achieved by the lenses arranged in the cover with the hinge part pivoted out, the second by the lens in the swiveled-out hinge part and the third by the combination of the lenses in the case and in the hinge part with the hinge part pivoted in. The manufacture of all parts of the magnifier from organic glass also results in an extremely convenient and inexpensive manufacturing option.
Further advantages and details of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to a drawing.
1 shows a perspective illustration of the magnifying glass according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a section through the illustration according to FIG. 1 along the section line II-II.
The folding magnifier according to the invention consists of a folding part 1 with a lens 2, a projection 3 and a handle 4. The entire folding part 1 including lens 2 and projections 3 and 4 can be pressed or cast from organic glass. The impact part 1 can be pivoted about an axis 5 of the casing 6. The shell 6 itself is formed by two interconnected parts 7 and 8, which are transparent in the area of the pivoted-in lens 2 and, according to the embodiment shown, are designed as plano-convex lenses 9, 10. All parts of the shell-6 can be made of organic glass. But it is also conceivable that the parts 6, 7, 8 are made of an opaque material and the lenses 2, 9, 10 are made of glass.
If an object is only viewed through lenses 9, 10, it appears in a different magnification than when viewed through lens 2. With the impact part 1 pivoted in, an object can be viewed through the three lenses 9, 2, 10 and is thus obtained an even greater magnification. The folding magnifying glass according to the innovation enables an object to be viewed in three different magnifications.
The projection 3, which then engages in the notch 11 of the casing 6, serves to hold the impact part 1 in the pivoted-in position. A slight pressure on the handle 4, which protrudes beyond the shell 6, which is otherwise adapted to the shape of the impact part 1, is sufficient to open the wheel

stung 3, 11 to solve and swing out the impact part l.
Of course, the magnifying glass according to the invention is not limited to the embodiment shown.
Rather, it would be conceivable, instead of one impact part 1, to provide a plurality of impact parts arranged coaxially to one another, which have different lenses and otherwise resemble the shape of the impact part 1. By swiveling out or in one or more of these knock-in parts, a large variety of possible magnifications can then be achieved.
