Process for the production of a binder for insulation and building material.

The subject of the present invention is a process for the production of a binding agent for cork, peat, ash, infusor earth and other specifically light, vegetable or mineral fillers for the production of insulation and building materials. The binding agent consists of components previously used for similar purposes, casein, oleic acid and rosin, and the present method is intended. to bring the mentioned materials together in such a way that the insulation and building materials produced with the present binder surpass the existing ones in terms of their nature and quality.

The process for the preparation of the binder is carried out in the following way: oleic acid and rosin are melted together in equal parts by heating and 2 parts of 5 parts of a solution are added to this mixture, which is obtained by dissolving appropriate casein preparations, preferably lactarine, in water, from one part of lactarine in 4 to 5 parts of water. The whole mix

In order to approach individual types of application of the binding agent, for example, the following methods are described in more detail: When producing an insulation material consisting essentially of cork, peat and wood ash, the compound mixed with the binding agent is heated to about 30 ° C during the mixing process, then in catch forums below the Press brought and exposed in the drying chamber to a heat of 100-120 C; after 10 to 12 hours the product is dry and can be shipped. If, for example, it is a question of producing seamless coverings, then

The products made with the present binding agent (insulation or building material, roofing, pavement and floors) differ from all known cork stone products in that they are significantly lighter. Moreover, they also offer insolubility in water and the

   even surpass natural cork.
