-'10 Wasser.

Device for separating liquid from mixtures of granular material and liquid
The invention relates to a device for separating liquid from mixtures of granular material and liquid (raw material) with a downwardly tapered, pivotably mounted vessel to which an inlet for feeding the raw material is assigned on one side of the pivot axis or which is assigned to this side has an inlet and which is provided on the other side of the pivot axis with an overflow and at its lower end with an outlet. its automatic release depends on the amount of grain deposited.
In devices of this type that have become known, the vessel is pivotable about an axis located in the vicinity of the overflow and is partially balanced with the aid of a counterweight which is arranged on a pivotable, two-armed lever. The pressure with which a closure cap is pressed against the outlet opening is also derived from this counterweight. If the weight of the product in the vessel exceeds a certain value, the vessel swings out, the outlet opening is released and the collected grain emerges. When the weight of the contents of the container has decreased accordingly, the container and counterweight swing back and the outlet closes again. The weight of a vessel filling, which consists of deposited grain and liquid, is several tons.
If the counterweight is not to be too heavy, the two-armed lever must have a considerable translation, which, in view of a limited overall length, results in the need to make one lever arm very short. Because of this unfavorable leverage, such devices are difficult to adjust and difficult to maintain in the correct setting, which destroys even a slight displacement of the counterweight. Apart from this, the use of such a weight always leads to an increase in the masses to be moved and, due to the increase in inertia associated with the increase in dead weight, a reduction in sensitivity. For these reasons, operational reliability leaves something to be desired.
It is an aim of the invention to avoid these difficulties and to provide a reliable and sensitive

works and accordingly according to the invention there is a horizontal distance between the center of gravity of the vessel filled with liquid and the center of gravity of the vessel filled with grain-liquid mixture and the pivot axis of the separating vessel is arranged between these two centers of gravity, the moment change occurring due to the change in position of the center of gravity the intermittent release of the Outlet allows.
The asymmetrical settling can be controlled or promoted, u. with the help of at least one baffle arranged inside the vessel, which catches part of the sinking grains and allows them to slide against that side of the vessel on which an accumulation of sediment leads to the opening of the outlet.
It can prove to be advantageous to move the pivot axis under the center of gravity of the 10-50 vol.% Filled vessel and, if necessary, to make the distance of the pivot axis from the center of gravity changeable, especially during operation.
Further features of the invention emerge from the explanation of exemplary embodiments of the invention with reference to the drawing, in which FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a device according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a section along line n-II in FIG. 1, FIGS. 3 and 4 in Longitudinal section or in plan view another embodiment of the invention and FIGS. 5 to 8 different embodiments of a

The device according to FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a vessel with an upper part delimited essentially by two parallel walls 1 and two mutually inclined walls 2, on which one of the walls 2 and two inclined walls 3 converging downwards is delimited. funnel-shaped lower part of the vessel connects. The inclined walls 2 and 3 close one with the horizontal
An angle that is larger than the angle of repose of the wet grain that sinks in the vessel and temporarily collects in the lower part of the vessel. With the aid of a transverse wall 4, an inlet is delimited on one side of the upper part of the vessel. Such an inlet does not have to be directly connected to the vessel; it could also be arranged above it.
On the opposite side of the vessel is! the overflow weir 5 of an overflow in the form of an advantageously laid into the interior of the vessel

an outlet pipe 6 is attached, which penetrates one inclined wall 2. At its tapered end is that
Provided the lower part of the vessel with an outlet which sits on an inclined wall piece 7. The edge of the outlet opening can be a support or a bead made of elastic material, such as
Wear rubber, plastic or the like. At that point on the vessel wall 2 which is essentially opposite the outlet opening. a cleaning opening closed with a cover 8 is provided.
The closure member cooperating with the outlet opening is designed as a cone 9. that of one on his
End threaded and nut provided shaft 10 is worn. This shaft is slidably seated in a hole at one end of a one-armed lever 11, the other end of which is hinged to the vessel.
A helical spring 12 is supported on the one hand against the base of the cone and on the other hand against the lever 11 so that the cone can move against the action of the spring, which can be prestressed with the aid of a nut 13. A spindle 13 ′ is articulated to the lever 11, the end of which passes through an extension of a frame 15 and on this by means of two nuts 14 provided with toggles, one of which acts as a counter nut. is detectable. A threaded bolt 16 is seated in an articulated manner on a vertical shoulder 2 ′ of the one inclined wall 2, protrudes through a hole in the lever 11 and carries a stop nut 17 at its end. The frame 15, which can be made of welded angle iron or pipes, for example, serves to support the pivoting vessel.
Perforated plates 18 can be provided within the vessel to calm the flow.
The interior of the vessel is finally bounded by a pipe 18 ′ which is tightly connected on both sides to one of the parallel walls 1 or the inclined walls 3. An axis 19 is laid in the tube, the ends of which protrude beyond the tube and each carry a pair of tabs 20. With the help of suspension elements, which are connected on the one hand to the straps and on the other hand to the vessel, the latter is suspended from the axis. In the device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, it is important to be able to change or adjust the distance between the pivot axis and the center of gravity of the vessel during operation. For this reason, each of the suspension elements, which are arranged in pairs, consists of a bolt with a right-hand and left-hand thread, which are screwed into a turnbuckle 23.
One of these bolts, 21, is articulated to a pair of tabs 20, the other, 22, articulated to the vessel, which can be provided with a support structure for this purpose. Two profile irons 24 can serve as such a construction, one of which is arranged on one of the walls 2 and is provided at its ends with extensions 25 in which the threaded bolts 22 are suspended.
For the pivotable mounting of the vessel or the axis 19 on the frame 15, basically all types of bearings that have low bearing friction, in particular Pfannenbzw. Ball or roller bearings. In the embodiment shown, ball bearings are used, the fixed outer ring of which is inserted into a block 26 which sits on the frame. The inner rings of the bearings are drawn on the axle.
If the diameter of the pipe, which must lie deep enough under the surface of the liquid so as not to impair its flow, is large enough, its outer surface can act as a guide surface for sinking grain and influence the distribution of the settled material in a desired sense . A braking surface 27 can be attached to the tube, the lower edge of which faces the vessel wall 2, which is opposite the outlet and with this a gap of, for. B. limited to about 50 mm width.
Another embodiment of a device according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
It differs from that according to FIGS. 1 and 2 only in the design of the vessel support. In this case, a bearing pan 30 is arranged on each of the parallel vessel walls 1. The associated, z. B. triangular prisms 31 sit on the frame. A guide surface 33 for the sinking grain is provided inside the vessel. Even with such devices, the distance between the vessel

In the direction of consideration, the outlet opens again and the game begins again.
It can. It may be advantageous to adjust or regulate the position of the swivel axis during operation. The suspension shown in FIGS. 7 and 8 is used for this purpose. By lengthening or shortening the corresponding suspension elements on both sides of the vessel, for which purpose only the turnbuckles 23 need to be turned, the axis 19 can be brought to any point within the transverse tube 18 'penetrating the vessel and thus opposite the operating focus adjust. The most advantageous position of the axis is usually near the center of gravity.
A tearing through of standing above the deposited solid material prevents the possibly provided above the outlet and z. B. braking surface connected to the pipe. The lower edge of such a braking surface must be offset with respect to the lower edge of an overlying guide surface in order not to deflect the grain slipping off the latter onto an undesired side.
Devices according to the invention work automatically and satisfactorily for a long time without requiring maintenance.
The following example is intended to show the extent to which, for example, the drainage of wet sand can be carried out.
In a device according to the invention, the vessel of which is 1400 mm long and 900 mm wide at the top, 35 t of a mixture containing 12 t of sand with a grain diameter of 0 to 10 mm was introduced per hour
EMI4.1
At the outlet, 11 t of sand with grains of 0 to 10 mm and 4 t of water were discharged. The end product thus still contained 27% by weight of water.
