Winkelgeschwindigkeits-Messeinrichtung

Angular velocity measuring device
The subject of the present invention is an angular velocity measuring device, comprising a gyro rotor mounted in a gimbal frame, driven at constant speed, which gimbal frame is rotatably mounted around its second pointer axis, oriented transversely to the rotor axis, against the restoring force of a suspension in a carrier system, the angular speed of which is by The sensitivity axis perpendicular to the plane of the rotor axis and the pointer axis is to be measured. The sensitivity of such a gyro system is primarily determined by the swirl of the gyro rotor, i. H. the product ev of the moment of inertia e of the rotating mass in relation to the rotor axis and the rotor speed v.
The inertia and the fidelity of the display of such a gyro system is, as with all mechanical pointer systems, except for the damping, essentially determined by the natural frequency of the system with respect to vibrations around the pointer axis, since this natural frequency should be as high as possible to improve the fidelity of the display. But now there is the square wo2 of the natural frequency
EMI1.1
Pointer axis means rotatable mass with respect to the pointer axis, the twist ev would have to be selected as large as possible and this moment of inertia as small as possible.
This means that the gimbal frame is small and easy to dimension and that any adjustment elements of transducers that are located on the pointer axis must be light and small, and such transducers can be designed and designed to measure the angle of rotation a of the pointer axis in to convert an electrical measurement or control variable proportional to this, which is suitable for acting on servo-motor correction organs to reduce the rotational speed of the system that determines the display variable. In conventional and known gyro measurement systems of this type, a hysteresis motor with an internally arranged stator and a peripheral rotating armature ring representing the gyro rotor is used to drive the gyro rotor.
A gyro system of this type is characterized by a relatively large rotor moment of inertia e, so that the desired swirl momentum can be achieved at a relatively low speed. However, this advantage is offset by significant disadvantages. A substantial part of the mass of such a rotor ring contributes to the increase of the moment of inertia J with respect to the pointer axis, whereby the display accuracy of the measuring system is impaired. In addition, the mass of the motor stator, which does not contribute to the twist, increases this damaging moment of inertia, and because the reaction forces that are effective when the gyro rotor is started up must be absorbed in the gimbal frame, it is necessary to build this gimbal frame accordingly massive.
Furthermore, the size of the cardan frame must be adapted to the outer diameter of the rotor ring. All of these reasons cause increases in the harmful and undesired moment of inertia with respect to the pointer axis of the measuring device. In this regard, a significant improvement according to the present invention can be achieved in that the gyroscopic rotor is designed as a barrel-shaped rotating armature inside the stator of a hysteresis motor, which stator is rigidly supported on the carrier system of the measuring device.
In order to be able to keep the diameter of this rotor as small as possible, the stator of the hysteresis motor is advantageously designed as a magnetic sheet-metal ring disk package that is wound with wire windings arranged in axial planes in the manner of a Gramme ring, the inner branches of which go through axially around the cylindrical stator bore holes arranged on a cylinder jacket through

are led.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown diagrammatically in the drawing, with only the halves located below the gimbal plane of the fixed parts and the gimbal frame being shown. A carrier block 2 is mounted on the mounting plate 1, in which a stator 3 of a hysteresis motor, consisting of soft iron sheet metal rings, is installed. This stator is in the manner of a Gramme ring with wire windings arranged in axial planes. 31 wound, which are guided through axially directed, allf one cylinder jacket arranged around the inner cylinder holes. Such a type of winding allows the necessary number of turns to be applied even if the inside diameter is so small that the usual tangential turns could no longer be inserted.
The barrel-shaped rotating armature belonging to this stator 3 and consisting of ferrous metal with certain hysteresis properties also forms the rotor 4 of a gyro, the shaft 40 of which is rotatably mounted in a cardan frame 5, which in turn rotates around the second axis of its plane with the help of shaft journals 50, 50 'is rotatably mounted in the support block 2. The axis Z of the cardan bearing shafts 50 forms the pointer axis of the gyro system around which the cardan frame 5 rotates when the carrier system 1, 2, 3 is rotated around the sensitivity axis E perpendicular to the plane of the rotor axis R and the pointer axis Z. A resetting spring system is formed by a leaf spring ring 6, which surrounds a disc 51 seated on the pointer axis 50 eccentrically and is secured with the aid of diametrically opposed screws 61 or
62 is fixed on the one hand to this disk 51 and on the other hand to the mounting plate 1. Instead of such a spring ring, a torsion bar suspension can also be provided. The second shaft journal 50 ′ carries a conical disk 52, the conical end surface of which is separated from a counter surface 72 of a stationary damping block 7 by an oil film which is connected to a closed oil reservoir 74 via a bore 73 located in the pointer axis Z. Who under the action of the

can be made independent.
The barrel-shaped gyro rotor can participate undisturbed in the small pivoting movements of the cardan frame around the pointer axis Z, which are proportional to the rotational speed o of the carrier system around the axis of sensitivity. Because the reaction forces when starting the gyro rotor 4 are absorbed by the rigidly mounted stator 3, the cardan frame can be constructed very easily.
The rotor mass, which is concentrated close to the center of gravity of the Krèisel system, and the light and small-sized gimbal frame carrier contribute very little to an undesirable increase in the moment of inertia of the masses m pivotable about the pointer axis Z in relation to this pointer axis, so that the natural frequency of such a measuring system is sufficiently high without difficulty can be held.
