Vibration trailer roller with its own drive motor for the vibration exciter and elastic built-in starter battery
The invention relates to a vibration trailer roller with its own drive motor for the vibration exciter, the starter battery of which is installed using metal rubber elements that are subject to shearing in the vertical vibration plane.
As experience has shown, such an elastic battery suspension can cope with the stresses that occur during rolling, but not the stresses that occur during transport of the roller, for example on paved roads or other uneven ground. Even at moderate driving speeds, hard shocks and high oscillations of the battery system and thus corresponding inertia forces occur, which primarily lead to a rapid destruction of the soft metal rubber elements.
The invention aims to remedy this condition and also to keep the large oscillations occurring during transport within the permissible stress limits of the metal rubber elements. This is done by providing elastic stops that limit the vibration amplitudes of the starter battery in the vertical vibration plane.
Metal rubber ring elements are used as limit stops for the metal rubber elements flanged to the side of the box of the starter battery, which sit at the same height as the metal rubber elements on the battery box and are encompassed with appropriate play by an annular flange that is attached to the flange part of the metal rubber elements. With this elastic limit stop, the vibration amplitudes of the battery that exceed the permissible level are absorbed in a damping manner, so that no harmful effects on the battery can occur.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a plan view of a vibrating trailer roller with the starter battery installed according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a further plan view of the arrangement of the suspension elements of the battery and the limit stops assigned to it on an enlarged scale, FIG. 3 shows a schematic side view of this arrangement in the direction of the arrow the line AB in FIG. 2.
In the embodiment shown, the starter battery 1 is arranged between the drawbar of the roller. Such an accommodation of the battery is very preferable for reasons of weight distribution. Of course, another position can also be chosen.
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the starter battery 1 is elastically suspended by means of four metal rubber elements 2 on the flange plates 3 of the frame. The metal rubber elements 2 are arranged in such a way that they are subjected to shearing stress in the event of vibrations or shocks in the vertical vibration plane. On the one hand, the metal rubber elements are firmly connected to the battery box 1 and on the other hand are firmly connected to the flange plates 3.
In order to limit the vibration amplitudes, stops are provided which consist of four disk-shaped metal rubber ring elements 4 which are firmly connected to the battery box 1 by means of bolts 5. Ring flanges 6 screwed onto flange plates 3 are assigned to these ring elements 4. A corresponding clearance 7 is left between the outer circumference of the ring elements 4 and the ring flange 6 surrounding them, so that when the permissible vibration amplitudes are exceeded, the ring elements 4 come into contact with the ring flange 6 and thereby limit and dampen the vibration amplitudes.
