Kupplungsvorrichtung

Coupling device
The invention relates to a coupling device for the quick connection of pipes and other structural parts using an elastic sealing ring which can roll between a cylindrical and a conical surface.
EMI1.1
Execution guides are the inadequate storage of the sealing ring in the coupled state, as well as the need to use tools to loosen the connection.
A quick pipe connection is also known in which a bead or groove is arranged at the narrower end of the conical coupling part to increase the tensile strength of the connection. In this version, too, the use of a separate tool is required to release the connection.
This disadvantage is remedied by the invention in that at the further end of the conical part of the coupling piece an annular groove with a radius of curvature approximately corresponding to the sealing ring is formed, in which the sealing ring is inserted again when the coupling is released, in order to allow an easy and complete release of the coupling.
The device is particularly suitable for gas-tight and watertight connection of pipes such. B. made of iron, Eternit or plastic and can be handled easily and safely by any non-specialist.
In a simple embodiment, the construction in question is made at one end of the pipe, that is, it is fixedly connected to the pipe. As a double clutch, the design mentioned is available in duplicate on a coupling piece. The double clutch piece is preferably made of plastic or metal.
At the narrower end of the conical coupling part, either simply a retraction of the coupling part or an annular groove with a smaller diameter can be arranged in a manner known per se for mounting the sealing ring in the coupled state.
In the latter case, the sequence of the annular grooves with different diameters depends on the use as a coupling of pressure or suction pipes, u. zw. The ring groove with the larger diameter is arranged outside the ring groove with the smaller diameter when coupling suction lines, i.e. it is at the end of the coupling piece, while it is arranged within the ring groove with the smaller diameter when coupling pressure lines.
For the advantageous use of the double coupling piece for coupling suction and pressure lines, an annular groove with a smaller diameter is arranged on both sides next to the larger annular groove.
To reduce the diameter of pipelines, the two end diameters of the coupling piece can be of different sizes.
When handling the coupling in the case of a pressure pipeline, the pipe end to be coupled ssnz is inserted into the coupling, rotating through the sealing ring, and then withdrawn without a rotary movement. As a result, the rubber-elastic sealing ring is moved in a rolling manner by the friction and Dis is taken into the clamping position.
When the coupling is released, the pipe is pressed into the coupling piece, while the sealing ring rolls back into the larger ring groove and thus releases the pipe, which can then be pulled out of the coupling piece while turning.
When coupling pressureless or suction pipes, whereby the annular groove in the end area of the coupling

pressed in. The sealing ring rolls with the pipe into the pinched position.
The coupling is released by strongly pulling out the pipe.
In addition to being used as a pipe coupling, the embodiment according to the invention can be used as a general locking system for pipes or as a clamping device for shafts and the like. Like. Be used.
The easy and quick handling should be emphasized as a particular advantage over other known designs. Because it is made of plastic, the connector has a certain elasticity. In addition, there is an advantageous play in the angling of the connection point.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example.
Figs. 1 and 2 are views showing Fig. 3-6 sections of coupling pieces.
1 shows the design of a coupling piece 2 which is fixedly connected to a pipe 1. At the
EMI2.2
The part 5 of the coupling piece between the two annular grooves is conical.
In Fig. 2, a double coupling piece 6 made of plastic is shown, which has the inventive design of the two annular grooves 3 and 4 twice. The two metal rings 7 and 7 'are used for mechanical reinforcement. The parts 5, 5 'between the annular grooves are again conical.
Fig. 3 shows this embodiment in section, with the two pipes 9 and 10 to be connected. The pipe 10 is shown in the coupled state, the pipe 9 before the coupling process. In order to bring the pipe 9 into the coupled state, it is pulled out of the coupling piece 6, the sealing ring 8, which lies first in the larger annular groove 3, rolling into the smaller annular groove 4. In the squeezed state, the sealing ring 8 'closes the coupling in a gas-tight and liquid-tight manner.
4 shows a coupling piece for the suction line pipes 11 and 12, in which the larger annular grooves 3 and 3 ′ lie outside the smaller annular grooves 4 and 4 ′. Here. the tube 12 is shown in the coupled state and the tube 11 before the coupling process. By pressing in the pipe 11, the sealing ring 8 is rolled into the smaller annular groove 3 and squeezed against the pipe in this. In the middle of the coupling piece, a wedge-shaped indentation 13 is formed, by means of which, when the cables are used as cable pipes, the formation of bumps on the end faces of the pipes is prevented.
In the embodiment of FIG. 5, the larger annular groove 3 lying outside the smaller annular groove 4 of the coupling part 15 is designed to extend outwardly in a funnel shape. This design allows the coupling of suction pipes to be handled even more quickly. 14 is the pipe to be coupled.
In Fig. 6, a coupling piece 16 is shown, which can be used both for coupling suction and pressure pipelines. In this case, a smaller annular groove 4 and 4 "is arranged on both sides next to the larger annular groove 3. If the sealing rings 8 and 8 'are rolled into the annular grooves 4". this corresponds to the use for suction pipes; If the sealing rings 8 and 8 'are rolled into the outer annular grooves 4 and 4', the result is the embodiment according to FIG. 3, that is to say for use for pressure pipelines.
