B. beschrieben in American Dyestuff Reporter 1954, S. 432-433.

Process for dyeing structures made from acrylonitrile polymers, vinylidenecene anide polymers or from copolymers of the same with other vinyl compounds
It has been found that structures made from acrylonitrile polymers, vinylidenecyanide polymers or from copolymers of the same with other vinyl compounds can be dyed with excellent uniformity with cationic dyes if the dyeing is carried out in the presence of quaternary ammonium compounds which have a benzyl radical that is optionally substituted by halogen and at least 8 Containing carbon atoms containing alkyl radical.
Suitable quaternary ammonium compounds are, for. B. those which are derived from fatty amines which contain 8-18, in particular 12-16 carbon atoms, and which result from the introduction of lower alkyl radicals, such as methyl groups, and subsequent reaction with benzyl chloride or 3, 4-dichlorobene. zy. Obtain oil chloride. are.
As has also been found, particularly advantageous effects are achieved if the quaternary ammonium compounds under consideration are used in the form of their adducts with urea or urea derivatives. Such adducts are e.g. B. obtainable by fusing the quaternary ammonium compounds with urea or urea derivatives, such as. B. Monoacetylurea.

adducts can easily be determined by preliminary tests; more detailed explanations can be found in the following examples.
Cationic dyes which are suitable for dyeing structures made of acrylonitrile polymers, vinylidenecyanide polymers or copolymers of the same with other vinyl compounds are, for. B. described in American Dyestuff Reporter 1954, pp. 432-433.
The inventive method allows structures produced from the aforementioned polymers, such as. B. threads, fibers, fabrics and films to dye with cationic dyes much more evenly than is possible in the presence of the previously proposed leveling agents.
Example 1: Yarns made of polyacrylonitrile fibers are introduced in a liquor ratio of 1:40 into a 500 C warm bath, which contains 0.05 g of the cationic dye per liter:
