Machine for grinding and polishing metal objects.
The present invention relates to a machine for grinding and polishing metal objects with the help of powdery grinding material, through which, when moving horizontally
EMI1.1
For this purpose, the upper of the two grinding rollers arranged one above the other receives the powdery grinding material fed through the objects to be ground, while a special feed device is provided for the lower roller.
Since, with such a supply of the grinding material to the upper grinding roller, part of the grinding material applied to the objects to be ground past these respectively. If several objects fall through at the same time and thus reach the circumference of the lower sanding roller, in the present machine on the entry side for the objects to be sanded between the contact bone of the two sanding rollers and the lower roller there is a container serving to catch the sanding material falling through arranged, which, since it can only be selected very carefully due to the small space available, is provided with a discharge device for the collected grinding material.
This is necessary because otherwise the abrasive material falling through between the objects to be sanded would accumulate in strips on the circumference of the lower sanding roller and the upper sanding roller would be severely worn at the relevant points when sanding thin objects.
A special feed device is required for the lower grinding roller, since it is of great importance to cover the entire circumference of this roller completely and evenly with Sehloif material. This feed device consists of a scoop roller and a feed roller rotating around a parallel axis in the opposite direction as this one, which touches the circumference of the scoop roller or at least almost touches it and, by pushing the abrasive material towards the scoop roller, always keeps the space below the point of contact between the two rollers is filled so that the scoop roller always has a uniform layer of material for removing the abrasive material to be thrown onto the sanding roller.
The drawing shows the new facility.
The material to be processed, e.g. B. a sheet metal plate c, is held by in front of and behind the superimposed grinding rollers a and b arranged guide rollers d during processing by the rollers a and b. The granular or powdery abrasive material is fed to the roller a from a container / through a spreading roller e provided at the bottom of the same. This spreader roller lets the abrasive material bezw on the sheet. the sheets c fall, so that when the sheets are pushed in between the rollers a and b it gets onto the roller a and becomes stuck in the soft and elastic covering of these rollers made of leather, rubber, felt or the like.
The grinding material falling between the objects to be processed c does not reach the lower grinding roller,

worm h is removed to the side. The lower grinding roller b is provided with grinding material by a scoop roller k. The roller k removes the grinding material from a container 1 in which a paddle roller i is attached in front of the roller k, which feeds the material to the scoop roller k.
Here, the feed roller i keeps the space below the scoop roller k always filled with material. The scoop roller thus removes the material from an always constant material layer and therefore also lets it fall completely evenly directly onto the entire circumference of the lower grinding roller b, from which it is also taken up.
'' PATENT CLAIMS:
