Description

Innovation in painting machines operated by air pressure.

Painting devices operated by air pressure are often in use, but they all have the major disadvantage) that the air inlet valve and the paint outflow valve are not necessarily connected to one another, and that on the other hand the parts used to hold the Farho are slightly leaky, so that they also become Can penetrate the interior of the apparatus and smear them. On the one hand, these two circumstances lead to excessive consumption of paint, which is pre-dusted in larger quantities than necessary, and on the other hand, it is impossible to clean the apparatus easily, which is particularly annoying when changing colors.

In order to remedy these inconveniences, the present apparatus has been constructed, which is explained in more detail by the illustration. Here a is a paint container roughly in the shape of a cup. This is open at the top and contains a single cone-shaped narrowing hole at the bottom for the paint to flow off. This hole runs in the
 EMI1.1

This pin is interchangeably attached to a rod d, which in turn is connected to a rod e, which is slidable forwards and backwards on the upper rim of the cup, preferably in two notches f and f 'attached to it.

This shift is brought about by the rod e being connected by means of the intermediate piece g to the slide h, which can be pushed back and forth by means of the finger so that the pin c can be brought into any desired position by this movement of the finger.

The tip b is now surrounded by a second, also conically shaped tip k, so that an annular space is created between the two, through which the air can exit towards the tip and so suck in and blow away the paint when the valve is open. The air enters this space from space 1, to which it is given access by means of the slots to be opened and closed by the slide m. How many such slots p are to be arranged is arbitrary; as shown in the figure, there may be several or just a single one.

The pipe r, from which the air passes through p, can be connected in any way to any source of compressed air.
 EMI1.2

The operation of the apparatus is such that the air entering through f, depending on the position of the valve m in the opening of the paint outflow valve, passes through the openings p, then passes through the channel I and escapes at the mouth k with the amount of paint drawn in .

Through the described connection of parts e, d, e, g, h and m with one another, the two valves are in a completely positive connection with one another.

sets, so that by moving the Selliel) with the finger backwards or forwards both valves are opened or closed in the same ratio.

The advantages of the apparatus described result from the foregoing and consist in the fact that the inevitable connection of the valves regulates the air flow in such a way that no paint can be unnecessarily dusted, and on the other hand that the paint contained in the paint pot a is due to the arrangement of the apparatus cannot penetrate the interior of the device under any circumstances. As a result, there is also no need for any sealing devices that are designed to prevent the paint from penetrating into the interior of the apparatus and, as experience has shown, give rise to many operational malfunctions.

It is also very easy to remove the slider device c, d, e, g, 11, which is suspended in the pot a and form a coherent whole, for cleaning purposes, especially when changing colors, and then to hang it up again.
