Das Stammpatent betrifft ein Aufzeichnungsund Vervielfältigungsmaterial mit einer Schicht, die farblose oder nur schwach gefärbte zu einer Farbreaktion führende Komponenten enthält, wobei als Komponenten der Farbreaktion Spirodipyrane und Säuren oder sauer reagierende Stoffe verwendet werden. Die mit diesen Stoffen entstehenden farbigen Produkte sind wegen ihrer ausserordentlichen Farbintensität und der Einfachheit ihrer Bildung ausgezeichnet für die Herstellung eines griffreinen Aufzeichnungs- und Vervielfältigungsmaterials geeignet. Es hat sich nun herausgestellt, dass diese Reaktion nicht auf Spirodipyrane beschränkt ist, dass vielmehr der erfindungsgemässe Fortschritt schon dann erzielt wird, wenn ein einen Pyrankern enthaltender Stoff und Säuren oder sauer reagierende Stoffe Verwendung finden. 



   Die Anwendung der genannten Stoffe bzw. 



    Verbindungen kann in bekannter Weise z. B. dadurch erfolgen, dass man ihre Lösung in einem   nicht oder schwer flüchtigen Lösungsmittel in Form von feinen Tröpfchen in einer geeigneten Beschichtungsmasse dispergiert und mit dieser Masse ein sauer reagierende Stoffe enthaltendes Papier überzieht. Bei entsprechendem Schreibdruck gelangen die beiden Komponenten der Farbreaktion miteinander in Berührung und es entsteht ein farbiges Schriftbild.
