Filling method and device for liquids under pressure.
The subject of the present invention is a filling method intended for liquids under pressure. The peculiarity of the invention is that interconnected or combined pipes, which are brought into the bottom of the container to be filled, are pushed up and down in or on an air chamber-like, partly with liquid, partly with compressed air, and thus their upper openings alternately Let it get into the compressed air and liquid space in order to first generate counter pressure, then let the liquid flow in and let the compressed air recede, finally effecting refilling by draining all the liquid from the liquid pipe when the tubes are pulled up.
*
This method can be used for all types of containers, bottles, jugs, barrels, etc., both for treating a single container and for treating a whole number of them simultaneously. Apart from the successful removal of all shut-off devices in the lines, the new method offers the particular advantage that the generation of the counter pressure and the inflow of the liquid take place with the greatest regularity and the annoying and loss-making dripping is eliminated.
1 and 2 show the process schematically.a is a vessel, to which the liquid to be filled flows in at the bottom, while in the upper part, as in an air chamber, there is air which is compressed by the pressure of the liquid and in a known manner can be used to generate the so-called counter pressure in the container to be filled before the actual filling process begins.
A double tube b, c can be displaced in the vessel a, the part b of which is on the left in the drawing and is open at the bottom and has the inlet b 'at the top, while the part c on the right in the drawing shows an inlet c' at the bottom right and above is in connection with the compressed air space. The upper and lower implementation of the
Double pipe from the vessel a is sealed by stuffing boxes. In the rest position of the

If the pipe connection is now shifted downwards with the Al) filling container placed underneath and after it has been pressed against the appropriately designed head d so that the pipe b is immersed in the container, then first

When vessel a comes, the liquid flows down into the container to be filled, and that immediately from the bottom of the container, since the tube b is now quickly lowered so that its lower mouth is close to the bottom of the container.
In the position of the parts according to Fig. 2, the container runs as full as it is the withdrawal by the
Tube c is allowed to displace air from the container until the liquid itself closes inlet c '. The compressed air that is pushed back reaches the top through tube c into the
Press room back; the removal of excess air from the container must be ensured in a known manner.

If you pull up the pipe connection after the filling is complete, the liquid contained in b is brought to drain and refill the container as soon as the
EMI2.1
It goes without saying that by choosing the distance between the lower mouth of the pipe b and the inlet c 'of the pipe c, it is possible to fill the containers to a desired height.
Since the filling in this process is essentially only dependent on the height of the liquid level, it is clear that a large number of containers, such as a bottle basket, can be handled comfortably and safely at once if you have a number of double tubes in a single one Vessel a or in several communicating with one another
EMI2.2
How the displacement of the pipe connections is brought about is not relevant to the actual process itself; operation by means of levers, pressure medium pistons, etc. can be provided.
