In the profile iron cutter according to the present invention, one cutting disk is mounted in the cover of a stationary drum that can be moved in the axial direction after loosening the locking means (the screws), while the other cutting disk is located in the cover of a rotatably mounted drum that has a toothed ring on its circumference wearing. This arrangement makes it possible, on the one hand, to be able to easily reach the two cutting disks and, on the other hand, to have the rotatable drum make one full revolution when making a cut.
In the drawing, FIGS. 1-3 show the known arrangement of two knife disks a and b, through which the cut material is pushed in the axial direction and separated by turning one disk. Fig. 4 shows the profile iron scissors in longitudinal section and Fig. & In cross section.
The disc c is easily replaceable in the cover of a drum d, which is rotatable in the bearings e and f. The rotation of the drum d takes place in that there is a toothed ring 9 on it, in which the toothed wheels h and i engage, which enable a full rotation of the cutting disk c. Instead of two tooth

These gears are set in rotation by any drive mechanism, in such a way that their speed during the actual cutting work is lower than after the cutting material has been completely separated; Here it is advisable to make the device by known means in such a way that the drum d stops as soon as the cut profiles of the two cutting disks face each other so that the cut material can be pushed further through the cutting disks.
The other fixed cutting disc k is easily exchangeable in the cover of a drum m, which is provided with a flange and u by screws. Like. Is connected to a stationary sleeve n. As soon as the screws are loosened, the drum can be moved in the sleeve n so that you can easily get to both cutting disks.
Both cutting disks are designed in the shape of a cone and each disk is located in a corresponding conical recess in the drum cover, where they are attached by means of screws or claws and screws.
In order to secure the cut material in its position as far as possible, it is advisable to equip the drum d with an exchangeable cover 0 provided with the profile cutout of the respective cut material.
