Schutzvorrichtung an Strassenbahnwagen.

Protective device on trams.
The present invention forms a protective device on trams, automobiles and the like. Like. And consists in that the safety net connected in a known manner to the brake lever is arranged to swing around an axis of rotation located on the front ends of the side parts of the support frame rotatably arranged on the platform, while the rear ends of the frame side parts are bent up so that the rotation of which is limited by the platform.
In the drawing, the protective device on a tram is shown in an exemplary embodiment, namely Fig. 1 shows a side view, Fig. 2 shows a front view and Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the protective device. Fig. 4 shows a variant in side view, while Figs. 5 and 6 illustrate details.
Two columnar stands a are arranged on the front platform of the car
EMI1.1
Frame is hinged, which serves as a carrier of the safety net d and the catch roller f. At the front ends of the frame side parts, an axis k is arranged, about which the catch, which is connected in a known manner by emo chain h to d6m brake lever i of the car, is arranged to swing. The rear ends of the frame side parts are bent up, so that contact of the roller f with the rails or the floor is prevented by the stop of these frame side parts on the platform. In order to keep the support frame in a horizontal position when not in use, counterweights 9 are arranged on the rear frame side parts.
The drive of the catch roller takes place in a known manner by suitable transmission mechanisms either directly from the carriage axis or independently of the carriage movement by an electric motor (see u, Fig. 4).
The mode of action of such a protective device is as follows: If a body is lying on the path of the vehicle, it is caught by the rotating safety roller and lifted onto the swingable safety net, which is arranged on the front ends of the rotating frame. The twisting of the net as a result of the load is limited by the bent-up rear ends of the frame side parts, so that the catch roller f can continue to rotate despite the load. With the lowering of the safety net, the chain h attached to it is tensioned in a known manner and, as a result of the pull exerted, the brake switch i connected to the chain h is brought into the braking position.
