The subject of the present invention is an artificial fuel which can be used for industrial purposes, boiler firing, ordinary heating, as well as for the production of luminous gas, which is essentially characterized in that it consists for the most part of coarsely comminuted, crushed or ground olive stone bowl, which coal distillation products or.
- Residues, peat, coke, bituminous or charcoal in pieces or dust, crude hydrocarbons and residues from the oil and fat industries are added in proportions that change with the purpose, after which the mixture is mixed in suitable apparatus and kneaded in the presence of superheated steam and finally comes to use in random pieces or in the form of briquettes generated under the action of strong pressure.
The composition of the fuel is changed according to the different purposes for which the fuel is intended and the most important variants are given below:
EMI1.3
Hard coal pitch, 5 parts of pipe hydrocarbons, such as naphtha or distillation products of bituminous shale, 10 parts of hard coal dust and 5 parts of charcoal dust.
2. Composition of fuel for gas works respectively. for gas generation: 70 parts of coarsely crushed olivon kernel shells, 10 parts of the cakes produced from the olive presses (kernels and fruit pulp), 10 parts of hard coal pitch, 8 parts of cannel coal and 2 parts of the residues that result from the industrial processing of fatty bodies or the residues of the seed oil production.
3. Composition of the fuel for railways and traction engines: 60 parts of crushed olive grain shells, 10 parts of ground olive grain shells, 10 parts of coal dust or instead of the same ground coke, which has been obtained by coking the mixture specified under 2, 10 parts of hard coal pitch, 10 parts of the Residues from the petroleum industry and 5 parts of ground peat.
The purpose of the addition of the peat is to absorb the petroleum residues and the peat can also be replaced by oil cake, which comes from the seed oil production.
4. Composition of the fuel for stable machines: 60 parts of crushed olive stone shells, 20 parts of oil cake from the olive oil factory, from which the oil contained therein has been extracted by carbon disulfide before use, 10 parts of hard coal pitch, 5 parts of charcoal or coke, which is obtained by coking the under 2 listed fuel has been obtained and 5 parts of residues of petroleum distillation.

6. Fuel for domestic purposes (heating and cooking purposes): 70 parts of ground olive stone shells, 10 parts of wood cob, 10 parts of hard coal pitch, 2 parts of Norwegian tar and 8 parts of coke, resulting from the coking of the fuel listed under 2.
7. Fuel that can be used for all purposes: 55 parts of coarsely crushed olive stone shells, 10 parts of ground peat or used tannery, 10 parts of crushed lignite or hard coal dust, 10 parts of oil cake from seed oil production, 10 parts of hard stone coal pitch, 2 parts of tar asphalt and 3 parts of residues from petroleum distillation or distillation products bituminous slate.
In all cases, the above-mentioned ingredients are intimately mixed with one another and kneaded thoroughly in the presence of superheated steam, as a result of which the mixture is completely uniform. In all those cases in which the reduction of the fuel to a small volume, such as during transport, is necessary, especially with the mixtures listed under!, 3 and 6, the mass is briquetted in the usual way using high pressure after the treatment mentioned above .
The fuel specified under 2 and intended for gas production has the advantage that the distillation takes place very quickly; the material is very rich in gas, and gives about 3% light coke, the heating power of which is equivalent to that of the best artificial carbon materials.
